Thanks all! It was awhile ago (I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning...). I'll email the support team and see what they say.

Originally, when Stardock announced FE:LH, I was under the impression that victims of E:WOM were going to receive a free copy of LH as well as FE. I received an email from Stardock back when FE came out, but have not received one this time around for LH. Was I mistaken or did I misunderstand (wouldn't be the first time)? I will definitely buy FE:LH if necessary, but no reason to shell out $20 US for it if I was supposed to get it free. I checked my Stardock account and it didn't show

[quote who="JLoerinc" reply="5" id="3329878"] Almost same here. I'm playing my Umber campaign (Wildlands map). First Emperor Karavox captured the city and hold it for at least 50 turns. The quest didn't end and the green zone didn't disappear. Heck, I said to myself, maybe when I conquer the darned wildling city, this nonsense will end, so when opportunity had arisen I conquered the city for myself. Again the quest didn't end and the green zone didn't disappear. I re

Sorry Froggy, you really do suck at playing FE :D And I'm a total n00b non-lEEt player... I love what you've shown us, tho'. I can't wait to see more. The best parts of course are the champion recruitment and tactical combat from what I've seen so far. Ya'all can definitely count me in on the buyers. I assume there's some way to slow down tactical so you can at least see what's going on? ("I lost that spearman unit, how, exactly?") And I really lik

I absolutely LOVE everything you've said about the expansion. Even though free, I'd be more than willing to pay full price if I had to. I love FE. In a possibly vain effort to get this thread back on track from the Steam-love/Steam-hate stuff. if you are still reading this thread Froggy, I'd appreciate some clarification on the new tactical combat system (laughably so-called but standard for this kind of game; if you want tactical, play Empire:Total War - now THAT's ta

In the absence of alternatives, please keep working on/expanding FE. It is a very fun game for me. I already know I'll buy any expansions/DLCs for this game. To say nothing of GalCivIII. Now I know sod-all about game development, so I'm not entirely sure what "game engine" means, but is it at all conceivable to use the same engine for a combo space 4x/RPG? You could even use the GalCivII factions as a base (or come up with something different). Rather than sitting on you

This is NOT a complaint :) I started my first 1.2 game last night (random map, large). I'm not using any mods. I got a nice starting position right off the bat - 3/3/3 next to a forest. Not earth-shaking, but pretty nice. However, what floored me was the amount and type of resources available there. I had wild game, gold deposit and a life shard. I mean, I haven't even SEEN a wild game square in all the other games I've played. And gold? Fugedaboudit. Only place I've e

I feel like such a noob. Where can I find the folder that contains all the old custom factions I've created so I can delete the ones that were either stupid, badly thought out or both? I know how to delete a sov, obviously, but I like to reuse faction names and there are a bunch of duplicates now. Thanks for the help!

Further to what Fallenchar said, realistically you can get away with zero crystal. It makes it a bit tougher, and you won't be able to equip troops with even the low tech magic items (like to ring of embers +1 def/+1 fire attack) or burning axe. You can still buy the stuff at the shop for your sov/champs, just will have to "make do" with mundane troopies and no mage staffcasters. I've played enough resource poor maps that I know the game can be won without crystal, but I always

Aww, man. I so exploited the heroic 0 cost on my last faction creation (didn't even notice it before...shows how observant I am). :D Thank you Derek and all the folks at Stardock for continuing to improve, patch, and work on an exceptional game!

I find them pretty useful. In addition to the level up bonus, a developed fortress gives your units +def, +accuracy, and (I think) +attack. Additionally, a well placed fortress can really make your defenses strong if you are confronting a faction you're not ready to eat due to additional defensive units plus walls. You don't necessarily need a bunch of them, but one or two developed fortresses are a pretty good investment.

Took forever - why I won't be doing it again... @ Naytch: And yeah, the mob drop was, erm, disappointing: rusty shileld. Seriously? It was still worth

I know this is really minor, but it represents a major coup for me. I finally beat Delin and the Pyre of Man on expert. Based on the posts I've read here, I realize that the l33t players here have consistently soloed this wildlands with just their sov and maybe a clubwielder or two. But Delin has consistently beaten me up and taken my lunch money. I finally had a game that was, for all intents and purposes, well and truely over - only one faction left and they were terrified of me. S

[quote who="JonSarik" reply="6" id="3296336"]They need to make it so that quests still generate some influence when you complete them, or offer more buildings that help generate influence. You can literally build monuments on turn one if there's a loc next to your starting city and they don't require any tech advance. Of course, it's like a

I know this topic has been done to death on the forum, but I couldn't find any actual response either up/down. Appreciate any feedback. Probably the only real frustration I've had with FE (man, I love this game) is the inability to increase unit size as you unlock the higher techs. Some early units, such as your first warg/horse cavalry can last to mid-game easily – running around getting exp and getting armor and weapon upgrades. But they’re still pa

Actually, there might be a simpler "fix" for what is admittedly annoying. I can't for the life of me remember which game it was (don't ever get old - senility creeps in and grabs you when you least expect it), but wouldn't making pioneers simply "fair game" for anyone without automatically creating a state of war work as well? In that other game whose name escapes me, pioneeer/colonization units could be eaten with impunity without penalty. You could leave a 3-person militia

Thought I’d open a thread for folks to comment on the new map pack. Good, bad, indifferent. I bought the pack last night, didn’t have much time to play. I started with the Wildlands map. Wow. Start is very challenging. I found my starting location highly constrained by wildlands right on the border – no doubt “hence the name”. On the plus side, there were pre-existing roads leading from my start around both sides of the wildlands, so initia
