Alanmandragon mentioned doing that as well, but that has not been needed before. I wonder why that is the only thing that works?

I always edit straight from the english directory for all these types of files. It shouldn't be a problem.
1. The current plan for balance seems to be to nerf everything Now that the better magic items are harder to find (and they really are in .983!) when the player finds one it should be really good. Having items that are very rare and nerfed may take away the excitement and fun that comes from finding something really good.
I disagree. All the numbers are finally starting to ma
There is a function called MaxSum to get the city defenders to be auto-equipped with the latest tech in armor and gear. You can simply set this up for every unit, but change the default gear to include a leather breastpiece. So, once leather researched, they will get a full suit of armor.
I'll try clearing my screens and hoping for an automatic server update.
The devs are both thoughtful and enjoy in depth analysis. I have gotten positive responses before. I am largely accredited with making the strongest arguments for city upgrades and no maintenance mechanics. Hope this gets some attention before release. Of course I only care in as much as it will hurt the reviews. Personally I have a very robust city defense structure already in place.
Problem persists in .983.
I restarted to find the fonts back, but the trees are still gone. I can see them in cloth map only.
Immobilize is a strategic only spell. In tactical they can still fight. The duration is off as Tuidjy suggests.
I think you need to completely uninstall and then reinstall the game.
This is what caused the problem...
I am getting an annoying problem. I had .983 running fine with all the trees and fonts showing up. The /localdataonly was on, so it should have been reading the local files. When I went to make any changes, they wouldn't show up. I figured that the game must still be reading the server data, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I have my mod showing up, but the fonts and trees are gone. My new theory is that something in the modded files are screwing with the fonts and tree
A cooldown on the spell would be fine.
I notice when updating my mod that your files have two game modifiers for strategic health regeneration and none for tactical. One is for 1 and the other is for 5, totaling 6 strategic health and 0 tactical. Simple type I am guessing.
You can set their default weight capacity to any number to avoid encumbrance.
Good balance stuff here. Nice yo see you working the weekend, but as the main balance man, I don't want you to get overworked. Make sure you are taking some time away so you have a fresh mind for next week. Let's talk about endgame balance. I will probably make a proper thread about it, but some balance is needed on the Masterquest, Spell of Making, Tech Victory and Diplomatic Victory. Conquest is pretty simple, no changes needed. I have been specifically playing the Mas
Nice stuff. Was all that done with DesktopX?
He so old, he co-wrote Breon's Letters. He so fat, he tried to put on reinforced plate and turned it into 20 Metal. He so dumb, he bought a staff from the shop. He so dumb, he chose Path of the Governor as a level up option.
I thought they fixed this in .983, but just in case, bump.
A single unit of archers can usually counter them well. I always make sure to bring one.
Airshrills can't fly. They are an abomination. A spidery deformity created by an evil wizard. All shrills are ground based units. It makes more sense when you read the hiergamenon.
For the sake of ease of use, I would like to be able to reopen any objective from the objectives list and change things.
I think I am getting a bug from this: Obj. 0 is to go get an item Obj. 1 is to return it The Objective is 0 for the return quest. In the editor, I see no number for the current objective on what should be objective 1. I can change the Next Objective ID though. Seems like a bug. I also see this in the condition def, which I don't recognize: 0 There is also an apparent objective between the two with no data. </
