Well your little though has bigger rammifications than you realize thought-hole. You want to create a war strategy server controlled at an undiscloed location that is capable of tactical and strategic learning and you want ot feed it terrabytes of data?

I am planning a lite mod for the Empire as soon as this baby releases. Basically I want a Russian Empire feel to my Empire. With That in mind, I think you have already hit some of the key points of creating an evil empire. Conquest, Domination of Indigenous peoples, Emphasizing classes and creating elite soldiers via breeding rather than veteracy.
Quoting BoogieBac, reply 28 it it's attacks keep failing, have it try something else. If their attacks are succeeding, keep at it but 'improve' on what it's doing so it's even more successful. We could probably keep track of the number of unsucessful attempts at various actions, then have a threshold for when they'd give up and try something else... ...Says the guy not programming the AI. <br
Quests will be moddable and therefore don require a random generation function like I have seen in wow. 2% chance to get a dragon quest with x loot and y difficulty is why I stopped playing that wretched game. I would rather base new and exciting gameplay on easy to create quests. That's only one lord's opinion.
Quoting seanw3, reply 142 I would of cousrse go knocking on doors shaft style. What's my name! What?
Shaft goes around the streets and beats up low lifes for information. How do you not know this?
Assassin would be a great and interesting quest feature. I would of cousrse go knocking on doors shaft style. What's my name!
I am going to try to mod a creature that is essentially a swarm of bugs that are attracted to where you want to build roads by a magical food you can create and spread where ever you may want a road. Then, after the spell is cast any that walk on the road smash up the bugs and their remains harden into a very hardy and resilient road. How's that for a road?
Just go in windowed mode, or were you just trolling?
I think I'l start modding the creatures first chance I get. I am going to need more Pan's Labrynth style things less lordsy ringsy ceatures. An army of tooth faries just chills the bone. I have a lot of ideas for my own games and I hope we can share them on some sort of Stardock generated and moderated library. I would never ask the devs to create the abominations I have planned.
I really want a quest where my daughter is captured and take to a remote tower by an evil fallen. Upon vanquishing the fallen lizard creature I would search for my precious daughter only to find a hastily scribbled note: I am sorry sovergn but your princess is in another castle.
i recently bought the nook. Best money I ever spent. Every book I have looked for is available for free and the ones that aren't... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I think if you play in windowed mode you will have time for all the solitare and match you can ever want. I don't think its part of the core gameplay to allow such frivolities and would rather spend my time managing my empire during other's turns. I am wondering though, what kinds of games would they want to make? -Imperial solitare -Dragon checkers -Connect four... trade routes What is the point?
What about spiders? They are much scarier and are actually taking over this world!
Would there be a imbalance if you could create all fire mana? I think this sort of wizardry specialization is a dangerously slippery slope. Players should be forced to war for the magic around them, within reason. So giving them one shard to change would be terrible, unless they allowed us to do it everywhere. And for that matter, what happens to a shard that is changed by one empire and then captured by another? Seems to cause a few problems in multiplay.
I think we all pretty much agree we dont want workers. But being able to lay out where you want some roads wouldn't be a terrible idea.
I like the random chance aspect of shards. Great idea hope a dev sees it!
My race is nude i.e. Spiders
Also, they want us to be able to implement any of our own wants as to resource mechanics so you could always mod it to your liking. [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e]
nook has free book
Here here all in favor of drawn out, bloody, civilian trampling battles, say I!
And then you march a bigger army down his roads and take all his cities? Roads implemented this way sound like a "lose the game" button.
But his roads could be cut off just like in real life when an enemy is coming, burning bridges etc. How did you think napolean was defeated?
To clarify, the basic knowlegde from our civilization that a primitive civilization might benefit from. No need to palm any face.
I miss the green knight tale in english folk lore. Your basic story of a mysterious knight that storms your banquet hall and challenges you to a duel. He offers you the first strike and takes off his helmet, leaving his neck unprotected. You chop off his head and to your amazement he is laughing at you. Instead of killing you he reattaches his head and steals your queen, A witch may be able to make a potion to kill this green knight but it is up to you to find her.
The devs have been noticably silent on what is possible between turns. I am starting to think we are going to be seeing loading screens like in gal civ 2 for 30s, maybe they are just letting us hang for a while before they give the big reveal.
So if I make mods and want to play in multiplay with a few other people, how does that work? Do we all have to have the dame mod or will the host have a way to give them my mod at startup and if so can changes to the customization screen be transfered as well?
