Sorry but the Brotherhood of Blackheads are pretty well accepted as the instigators of the first Christmas tree according to Wikipedia. The source checks out too. Martin Luther probably popularized it a great deal though.

Through the rock is a pretty sure bet.
I think they would make it so that you needed to find a coast to embark. If the random maps are capable of limiting coastal space, it would be a good way to keep terrain advantages nominal. It would also be nice to see some warships. It all depends on balance.
I am surprised you are getting crashes, but I would guess your video card is just an unlucky one. The game really shines alot brighter with HF's mods. Maybe try em out.
Fallout has an awesome lockpick function. Why didn't they just have someone from Obsidian come over and show them how to use it?
Are you playing After the War or Vanilla?
I was just about to say I hated this idea and then I remembered about how much I love Mortal Kombat. Someone should make a Mortal Kombat mod. This would be great for that. [e digicons]:D[/e]
The bad movies I like have zombies in them. This one falls short of my criterion.
I am more interested in making buildings and quests. A mod to allow realistic grain trade feels more like something for a late era Cold War game.
What did the pagans call it when they invented the tradition? Wouldn't it be more politically correct to call it that?
Boats will not be in FE. But if and when they do come to Elemental, Brad is pushing for CivV style boats. There is a whole thread somewhere about it.
Also, it is important for this game in particular to come out on the right foot. Betas are not supposed to be fun, but FE needs to prove to everyone that it is going to be. It would be smart to get as far as possible in the direction you want the game to go before we play it. That way we can tell other people about how the beta is better than WoM and any other TBS that has come out recently. The FE beta is more than just testing for bugs. It's funny, I just can't get thr
My Christmas tree is imaginary, just like
Santa
.
They should put a Surgeon General's warning on the load screens. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Stat checks are on my wishlist, but I don't think they will make it onto the the iteration board at Stardock. That is my favorite part of Fallout quests, where your charisma or intelligence gives you an advantage.
And they said they are raising the population in the context of the current values, not changing the whole number values in the game. Calm yourselves. I would guess that a 25% raise in pop cap would add money, research, and production while costing more food at each level. That kind of thing.
One way I plan to avoid people feeling like a quest is boring with a mod I have been working on is to have several quests as one quest. ex: Following up on rumors at a local inn, you set out investigate an abandoned farmhouse not far off. Upon reaching the ruined ranch, you notice a flickering light in one of the windows. Option 1: You are sure there can be no good within those walls. You command a surprise attack on the farmhouse, gaining the advantage on your foe
We have more elements to deal with in this version and they are well balanced in theory. From what I saw, daggers are fine for their tech level and stage in the game. I would be more worried about unique items smashing up the balance we saw on the weapons spreadsheet. Gonna have to give us a list of those to keep up our confidence. [e digicons];)[/e]
So you want them to put an entirely new game into the existing one? Better find a powerful genie. [e digicons]:P[/e]
Oh but we are getting those special committees now in America to really solve everything. I am sure 12 politicians can do what 500 can't. [e digicons]8|[/e]
He did say that if FE fails his standards of a good game, then he will take it as proof that his company is just not able to make good games and stop trying. But it looks like this one is going to rock so no need to take it too seriously.
Great, now I have to worry about that everytime I tongue wrestle. [e digicons]:O[/e]
No beta this week. Kind of affirming my whole "there is no beta" theory.
Nice to know we are at the balance stage from iteration. Remember, sometimes it is not about what you add, but what you take away. Take away a few weeks from beta and hash things out. As long as we get updates on the issues, not really a big deal.
Doesn't Origin invade your computer and search for things? I would need a pretty big discount to ever use Origin.
