@Kantok, I was merely stating an objective fact about a good beta rule. I was one guilty of indulging the ridiculous difficulty on custom map that were immense by any definition of the word. It hurt the process to have me going on about how fun and exciting it was to kill swarm spiders and fight legions of Umber. Of course you are free to play whatever difficulty level and map size you want with however many resources you want with whatever spawn level with how

I see bonuses to constitution, strength and dexterity as the best way to give some Kingdoms who focus on a strong regular army. As far as balance, any medium that gives you such an advantage (probably a barracks upgrade) should also weaken some other strategy. That way you can't have stormtroopers and godlike heroes. So you heroes would get a level cap or perhaps a trait that makes them get far less experience, but those stormtroopers are very powerful. This kind of balance will
That has to be a bug. In what world do we spend 1000 mana to retreat? Teleport is cheaper than that.
There have been many areas whee I have said, "Gee, this would be a good battle if the enemy could cast a spell." Healing and AoE's would greatly increase the AI's chance of competing. I have also noticed that most tank type units start in the back and have to wade through peons to get to the front. It makes it easy to ignore them. As far as support tactics, I don't see lots of change happening to the core mechanics. We have all cried out at one point or another for t

I think Omnax1 hit it right on the money. random events are an acceptable way to see new lairs. Consistent spawning would get boring and become a chore. But if a random event box popped up and heralded the coming of a a legion of demons or shadow warriors, that would be epic. I would split it into different levels of new lairs that have a random chance after a number of turns. At turn 200 you might see a crime syndicate and at turn 500 a legion of demons. So you don't have t
1. You should make sure to make a separate post about this in the support subforum. They seem to already have fixed 2. according to the .76 beta change log.
Ya, you should have the option to go to the city details screen and click an X to delete each improvement. I just raze the enemy as they are usually Fallen scum.
I would like to have the option to make tons of weakling soldiers that take very little time to train or make some very strong ones that can go toe to toe with heroes. As far as what to do right now, just get that building from citylevelup that gives you gold wile not producing. A very useful building. [e digicons][/e]
You are right about it being there to prevent city spam. If they let you do that there would be no limit to cities. You could have as many as you liked as long as the other ones have stopped growing. A very bad thing.
Outpost are the solution to city spam. I don't think making them cost alot is going to help anything. They only bring in a small amount of resources in the first place. The prestige system is meant to stop city growth. After a few cities it becomes nigh impossible to level them. You really need to get some level 5 cities before expanding. That is IMO one of the smartest limits you can have on expansion. [e digicons]:)[/e]
After one unit attacks the camera will scroll over to the next available unit before the battle starts. I am literally jerked away from the battle and then the battle screen loads. This is quite jarring to say the lest. I would prefer that the unit I am attacking with is the focus of the camera before and after the battle as I usually need to check health levels, equip loot and level my units. Only after all that should the camera move and it should be done with a button near the mi
I have three cities. They are big and personally crafted. I have one small settlement that is growing. I have around 10 outposts. The core game is not designed to have dozens of cities. They would all be at level one and therefore need no micro at all. If you need more resources, build up some outposts. I get a really good unit every two or three turns from my cities. That is more than enough to control my territory. I see no problem with placing buildings on this scale. Of course, once
Nice to see a perspective of from Ironeers to Tarth. I only play Tarth and have yet to get a better bow in all my games. I usually make her a mage too just to have some options.
I could go either way on the 9 tile limit or 3x3 tiles or some new idea. But right now we have a snaking issue that is worse than a level one teleport spell. [e digicons];P[/e]
Bug fixing on the weekends? I guess it makes sense that a frog would like bugs...
"I like the idea of fewer, upgradable improvements and keeping cities small rather than sprawled across the map just so troops can travel a bit faster. Still doesn't make placing buildings more than an additional click as far as I gathered though." -abomination5 There is an autobuild function that seems to be bugged in the .75 build. In WoM 1.4, we had it and it worked fine. With that working it would need no more than one click (the
Destroy is a function found by clicking build and scrolling to the bottom of the build list.
I am experiencing a 3:1 ratio of game time to reading people's posts. Nice to see the forum so alive.
I have suspected this but never seen it. Thanks for the confirmation. [e digicons]k1[/e]
I posted here about making some new paths: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415525 I haven't played with the death magic yet. What kind of classes/traits do they need?
We need to all be playing the same difficulty to compare at this stage. My criticism is that Normal seems more like Beginner. The AI just isn't good enough at leveling.
My Pyromancer does 46 damage with Fire Dart. She gets first strike so there is little opposing mages can do to stop her from owning. Fireball is insane. Stinking mud is a win button for my Tarthan Tatars (Mounted Archers). There are alot of ways to play and all of them seem to own. I would like to see the AI Players get better at leveling so there is some more challenge on the battlefield. The monsters and Wildlands need to use more magic too.
I posted here about how I would fix the improvements: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415634 This is the gist:
