Will -5 to UnitStat_Attack-Boost affect total attack or just the total boosts that unit is getting?

There isn't and really it cuts down on strategic choice. But I will add a hill mine so you don't need to worry as much about it. Also give s nice option for Earth Mages to terraform a better expansion.

Yes. This is because there are some hero lairs that don't have a hero connected to them. I am not sure why they exist. I may cut them out and risk a causing a crash at some point. Or I could just add a hero to them.

I believe you can set up an encounter up in a lair. Try adding this into the encounter of the goodiehut: 100 SandGolem T_Ruins_Barren_01 0 0 SandGolem<

There are alot of great points in this thread. I don't personally have them in my game, but I hope the devs are paying attention and act on them for 1.1. I had all these thoughts a few months ago.
Start with Sparse Monsters, Easy World Difficulty, Harder AI Factions. Factions are not wonderfully smart otherwise. If you are new to the game entirely, Fast Pacing and a Normal AI Faction setting would make it easier to learn the mechanics. But a sparse monster spawn makes all the difference in the world. Keep in mind that Normal Monsters will eat you alive. Dense is really just meant for when you make a custom faction that is OP.
.1 would be the result. This is a very cool game modifier. I have one on a trait for my Iron Golems. I set the default scale to double and have a light mech trait that reduces the size and adds movement to it. Very cool stuff to add a little steampunk to my Gilden.
Some notes I have been taking from your playthrough. By the year 200, there needs to be two things: 1. Wildlands need to grow in power and spread out. Going from massive armies to massive armies with massive wandering radii is a must. 2. Random events need to start occurring. I'll add some minor factions from other realms, set the AI up to cast Troll Legion and open rifts in the planes, take a page from the latest Avenge

The first 100 turns are pure RPG. Set up a city to focus on production and start building an army of units from loot items to supplement your Sov. Learn what you can kill and when. Become a master.

Oh, I see about Magar. Fixed for next patch. ; ) Design page has Air Dodge now, which blocks encumbrance out. I will get rid of some other stats that we never look at and make Encumbrance work again. The map is debugged. It happened to be that the crash was never from the map. It was the Binding fiasco. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
I hope we get an option to set helmet to invisible. Until then, you are more than welcome to sell it. And Magar is encumbered with free gear. Hard to complain.
