I set mine to 10 and give them +100Hp. They are still a little costly for the power they can give. I bet they would be great for a governor strategy though.

Yes, you can always check difficulty by looking at the tooltip of your saves in the saved game menu. If enemy factions are sucking on higher difficulties, I might give them a stronger economic boost or more Hp. I encourage you to take some time in the XML file and see what you like best. Actually, I think a great movie would focus on the aftermath of destroying the Empire's power base and the factions that attempt to seize power afterwards. Why not tell it from the perspective of Dash Rendar?

An apt analysis. One thing I would point out is that I am lucky enough to have a second modder join my ranks. We are producing at a much faster rate and with better design concepts. As always, anyone that has a penchant for balance is welcome to make suggestions. Skilled modders will be considered for inclusion into the project. There is a light hazing ritual, nothing untoward. 1) The mob spam was a reaction to the total lack of challenge in the vanilla game. Werewindle

World Difficulty is the setting you see on the main setting screen with monsters, shards, etc. This setting primarily affects how soon lairs will upgrade, how much of the map monsters can see, and the Hp bonus to monsters. Anything above Challenging will have faster lair upgrades and is designed for players that have full mastery over power leveling a Sov. The difficulties go Hard, Harder, Chuck Norris, Expert, Insane, Ridiculous. I stick to Normal since the balance is still being perfected.

I gave master scouts full forest walk and +1 Moves. They then have a unit design trait called Trailblazer that gives the unit all other movement bonuses. It's a nice way to handle it.

Monsters are always hard to balance. We are trying to have weaker roaming armies, but more difficult bosses on top of lairs. This version we didn't manage to reduce the boss movement to 0. So you will see some rough stuff roaming in the bush. If you are still at a point in your skill level where you get stuck at home, switch the game pace to Fast.

There is less monster clutter. You should be able to find some killable units, but they spawn from lairs with powerful guardians.

It may be compatible, but only by luck. As long as they didn't make any changes to any files that reference mine, it will be fine. I can only support their actual releases though. Takes too much time to update for every prerelease as you might imagine.

No. You will have to start a new game to see any change. That is the intended design. It allows several weaker hammer units to counter one strong unit. It is a bonus to weak large armies, which don't otherwise compete well against stacks of doom. You are more than welcome to try something new and discuss your results.

It's a complicated thing. Basically, it only works when the unit you are attacking has more soldiers in their unit and there is a minimum amount.

Linked the Master's Affliction to the wincustomize page. It might be easier to download from there. Either way.

Oh, found it. So you are paying 56 Gildar to do the upgrade. Spears are a little better if the defender has a club. Spear is tier 1, Club, tier 0. Adding armor means higher wages. You would be better off to either train an armored spearman or defender. There is no real exploit here.
