The biggest difference I see is that one is a finished game that falls short and the other is still in beta and is already surpassing it on several levels.

A new modder? I guess the game is getting compelling enough to attract new users. Very good day. [e digicons]:w00t:[/e]
Meh... the better a game looks the less it can be modded by the common man. The dream for me is a voice activated mod system akin to Siri with graphics like that. Maybe in 80 years.
Here's hoping they figure out a way to let us play TBS MP while we sleep. That is really the only solution. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]

Just channeling my ridiculously blinded mother here: Anyone can make a picture. God would have put the sound barrier in the Bible if it was real. I know lots of scientists that say it doesn't exist. What did they do to you at that college? "If we couldn't laugh at them, we'd have to cry for them."
The important thing is that all of the USA gives Palin the clear message that she will not be considered a serious candidate for the presidency. She simply lacks the required intelligence. Personally, I would like to see Bill Gates runs things. Too bad we are a Democracy instead of a Meritocracy.
This bug is likely due to some art not being finished for a few tiles. The tile says K_SkathPit_01, which is a tile that does not exist. There are actually 3 buildings that are using this tile name. It would seem to be a placeholder for art that will be added later. It would have been nice if they picked a placeholder tile that does exist, but you can always just use a tile you like that is already in the game. I made my own tiles for each one from the WoM tile designer and added them to the
Magic in the world of Elemental is imbued on mundane objects. There are many other ways to think about magic, but that is the way it is presented in this game. Magic flows from the shards, to the Sovereign, and then through the Sovereign to all other objects as far as the lore goes. That is the basis we have to work with.
I don't want to reward high grain tiles with production. You should have to choose between high production or high food. That kind of workshop would make food even better than it already is. If you add that kind of bonus, I would do it at level 4 for that one city. And it should have a high labor cost and some gold maintenance.
That's Fair. I always end turn with a scenic view of a city and then contemplate my Kingdom. Can't do this in most games out there. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
I play on large with 8 players. By turn 500 4 of them are usually wiped out. I haven't noticed extremely long wait times. I usually see about 8-12 seconds in the late game. I honestly use that time to do my own computing. Humans need to think too!
Kind of wish we could make better pioneers though. They should at least be mounted.
The Minimap is also too mini. It gives little information. Please allow us to control the size of the map.
People are harsh about this movie, but as one that is not affiliated with either particular party, I found it to be a great drinking game.
That is my position too. Great Mods are for those that have the system to handle it. I will, however make Ivory Towers functional on 32bit Dual Core since that is what I am currently running. That will be the minimum standard though. Also, you can turn the graphics way down and still enjoy the game. They will probably enable those settings sometime near release.
I personally like to cast Stoneskin twice on the same unit. So much win.
I have been thinking about magical weapons and there are some problems with the current design scheme. Magic weapons do less damage than their mundane counterparts. I originally accepted this because the thought may have been that a Magic minded nation would have cruder versions of most weapons, but their ability to enchant those crude weapons could make them on par with a more skilled Warfare minded nation. But then I realized that I have to research the standard weapons techs and then the m
BTW, you could make a pretty good Fallout Mod for this game.
Beyond the obvious "leadership" aspects, training units with more members also reduce the per-member wage cost. 3 men = 3*wage 5 men = 4*wage 7 men = 5*wage 9 men = 6*wage
Yes, but there is also a per soldier cost in the ElementalDefs.xml So a unit costs according to the number of soldiers.
I would expect a long wait on the next public release.
But it cannot. AI cannot even beat humans at go, and it is a much simpler game. There are way too many variables in this game, way too many things to do that AI will never be a challenge without cheating, unless the player does not know the rules of the game at all.
That is an assumption. The AI in my modded game is already able to equal me in research and economy. The ones that I have comprehensive unit designs e
I set the limit for this spell to minimum 10 in each stat. Hopefully that balances things out.
As a creationist, I don't believe in the sound barrier. The science just isn't there. I believe in an ethereal plane, which it is a sin to break. (Christian Irony) The great thing about religious warmongers is that their close mindedness prevents them from inventing weapons like this to fight their religious wars.
Don't worry Trojasmic, I'll add it to my quest mod list.
