Bits of Beta feedback: I missed the line in the patch notes about the AI upgrading outposts and was very excited the first time I saw an updated one. It was a surprisingly big deal to me, as is the fact that in my 1.6 and 1.7 games the AI players are using strategic spells, which they didn't last time I played. Makes steamrolling with a single army a lot harder. The wildlands monster spawning has been interesting. They seem to pop up in occupied areas quite a lot, or at le

Came on here to report exactly this - I had three heroes and a mercenary pop up just now. Exactly as Hellions reports above except that I think one of them may have attempted to chase down one of my pioneers. Edit: have encountered a lot more and they can definitely move - not only did one waltz up to one of my outposts, but after I Tremor'd and killed it, it ran onto my outpost and destroyed it, despite being both stunned and dead. I know that that part is a separate and older bu

Yeah, I have been playing a game as The Dead and the cities I raze leave behind fertile tiles. I was able to create population farms by letting the AI resettle the area and then invading and razing again before the city was too well defended. Poor Oracle Ceresa founded three or four new Hagudsts before she finally decided being my minion was less trouble. Edit: I also support the idea of bear cities.

Bloody hell, how did I miss that? There's a (suitably epic) trailer and everything! Be right back, off to give all my money to Stardock.
Again there are no "Smelly Ogres" or "Concerned Farmers" or anything.
DLC! DLC! DLC! I would gladly pay $5 for a monster pack with smelly ogres in it.
When you load an autosave when you just finished a research item, loading that game brings up "No Research", which stays there until the turn that you remember.
Yep, this is it. As far as I can tell it's new for .80, unless I was lucky enough not to have run into it before. Very annoying.

Back in FE Beta I encountered a quest which spawned golems (scrap, I think - one of the kinds that's moderately tough in the early-mid game at any rate) everywhere in my empire. Caused utter chaos. As you say, opening the gate in the Master Quest releases demons everywhere, and as Glazunov1 says, some of the wildlands will launch invasions against you. I have seen it with the desert one for sure - endless numbers of wildlings and naja pouring out, which does look very epic indeed

It has happened to me too, and I may even have a save (will check) but I think it's one of those things that disappears when you reload. However it can be reliably reproduced as Das describes: every time my leading hero has died assaulting a city it has happened. Similar to another easily replicated bug in which the leading hero of an army dies but the rest of the army goes on to win, and then the whole stack gets sent home with the dead hero. If this one could be solved I guess t

I dunno, I encountered the Lich quest that spawns from the Plague event for the first time yesterday and it seemed, thematically, like a pretty good fit. The event itself presents three difficult choices, each with a cost, and the one I took lead to an unexpected and unfortunate consequence. The fact that I was playing as Ceresa added to the irony too. True, the undead are a stock fantasy race, but I think they're a good fit with what I see as two central themes of Elemental lore:

Have seen him in a 0.75 game. But he now asks 'what's in my pocket?', which I thought was rather unfair. At least the quest reward was good. ... Part of the above isn't true. But I did see him, and found him in a hut as @roy berube above says.

If you're looking at heroes, can you pay special attention to the Trogg hero As a'Zoth if you haven't already reworked him? He turned up in my game with the weak trait + a chain shirt + twin battleaxes and was so ridiculously encumbered that he could barely move until I stole his gear and left him with lighter stuff more suited to a caster (albeit one with Path of the Warrior). I guess this is from when PotW had an innate weight bonus and didn't place so much rest

I think you have to un equip it for the game to recognise you have completed the quest, if memory serves. It's kind of counterintuitive but I think that's how it worked out. I think any champion can complete it, not just the sovereign.

So... champion death seems to be in the game now - at least in the LH Beta. Was this in a changelog that I missed? It was a nasty surprise! I was so shocked that I flicked through to see what it meant without taking a screenshot, and *poof* - he had vanished to the land of wind and ghosts, along with all the gear he was carrying. Under injuries, it listed "killed" as if he was troops rather than a champion. I refought the battle a few times, and each time he took an injury as normal,

I'm using upgrades a lot in my current game for the increased zone of control - as a way of joining up my territory without using too many pioneers. I haven't used many other upgrades yet, but I'm sure I will make use of the increased movement & pop growth as it goes on.
And dual great axes...that's just a trait of major badassitude! Love it
Just started a Yithril game for exactly that reason. Verga dual-wields right from the start too. EDIT: ...and right by my base, I found dual burning axes. Verga is officially the most metal sovereign ever.

Just played my first half hour of the beta, very good so far - no crashes, only one minor bug in which the view didn't move to units selected in the sidebar (fixed itself, couldn't replicate). Preview of movement paths is very welcome, I missed that in the changelog, but it's very handy. Tactical battles much more fun - particularly when Bannon Heighsley and his Command ability joined my party. Along with Relias' Rush & Haste, everyone was all over the plac

Well, of course you can't go back to the game - you just won an Ascenscion Victory and transcended the mortal plane. [e digicons][/e] But yes, that probably wants fixing just in case you want to continue to meddle in the affairs of lower beings without starting a new game.
