I don't agree with your conclusions, but I see where you are coming from.
If you're replying to me, the values I used were just the middle values between expansion pack and new game, which seems to be where the expansions are going to fall. And to my larger point, the values are irrelevant. They could sell for $10 or $15 api

The following were the points made by the reviewers to illustrate what has made this game an all-time classic. ... You know what is sad? It's that, for the final expansion, all the things that you list should have already been in the release version. We have cut Stardock a lot of slack already during alpha beta

Most of what you posted is pretty common (but very good!) thought about where the game needs to go. I'd like to see more discussion on the depth of tactical battles (aside from the the combat stats discussion, which has also been pretty thoroughly discussed). I know it is scheduled for a complete overhaul, but I am anxious to hear the details. Tactical battle maps should be obviously tied to the strategic map. Sieges and combat within the city should h
To call games like SC2 and Civ5 disappointing is just a pathetic attempt to fight off a perceived enemy. These games are some of the best released this year, and both are winning/nominated for many awards. They might not be as impactful of their predecessors, but they are universally considered great games. And before you say how dumb reviewers are, consider who has a better and more objective perspective. It's not you.
I'm no

I think some people are confusing "Which game was less finished" with "which game is more disappointing" when comparing Civ V and Elemental. Elemental was obviously less finished. I don't think a single Stardock employee would disagree with that statement. The problem is that Civ V was finished (with bad AI) coupled with the fact that Civ V has the legacy of some of the best computer games ever to live up to. Is it unfair to hold them up to Ci

Not sure if this has been posted or not. Search wasn't working today. Trying to click auto explore on a unit that already has move orders does nothing. No feedback, but auto explore isn't engaged either. Seems like the player should either be given a warning that "this action cancels the unit's current orders" with an option box to continue or cancel or that the game should just assume that clicking auto explore isn't an accident and go ahead and cancel the current o

I don't see how Civ V doesn't run away with this award. Patched up Civ IV is arguably the best game of all time. Civ V had massive expectations and it's terrible. My disappointment with Elemental pales compared to my disappointment with Civ V.

Honestly, having bought this game when it first came out, there's no way in heck we should still have to be submitting our debug files to clean up crashes.
