Are we ever going to see you win a battle? You may not be happy with the AI yet, but it always seems to be knocking you around. Maybe you should stick to BF3 [e digicons]O:)[/e]

You wouldn't need to work around hardware limitations, but if you think nothing creative happens on the PC you clearly haven't paid much attention to PC gaming. The only advantage of consoles for a consumer is price, and in a world where everyone needs a PC anyway, even that advantage is gone. Publishers like consoles becau

Different platforms breed variety which breeds innovation. And I exaggerated some of my points, KOTOR in my mind is a great balance between what we saw in the movies and what is good gameplay in a video game. Sure chain lightning is a game breaking win button, but other than that. The lightsabers were well balanced without making everything else useless. The thermal detonators were rare enough to need to b

But I did really like the story and voice acting during the Beta. Also, a lot of Sean's rants are problems with everything in video games. Those are arguments against video games in general not just old Republic or MMOs. Have to balance realism, or source material, with fun. &nbs
True, it can get boring after the hundredth time or so. When you think about it though it is somewhat realistic for that type of old style lock, and, it's better then just a boring "under the hood" dice roll/skill check. Basically, it's better than nothing IMO. It could have a lot worse I'm sure. With the mod on Skyrim nexus it shows you a color coded bar on top and all you have to do is put your cursor in the right spo
Well then what are you guys complaining about?
Because after the 200th or 300th lock picked it gets annoying. There's no skill or game about it. Pick a random starting spot, carefully test if you have it right. Repeat until you run out of picks or get the lock. This works regardless of skill of the PC or the lock requirement. *YAWN*
Fallout has an awesome lockpick function. Why didn't they just have someone from Obsidian come over and show them how to use it?
Skyrim's lockpick mini-game is exactly the same as Fallout 3s. That's where they got it from.

Useful information for those concerned: Trevor Eckhart, the guy at the center of this exposure, has posted a very useful security tool that people here may find useful. Here is his apk for scanning your phone for CIQ (and other loggers) with the option of removing them. It requires a rooted Android phone. I'm not advocating rooting or not (it may void your warranty).
There are plenty of ways to handle defense of roads/caravans without making the user move troops around constantly. As long as theirs a logical system that allows the player to make those choices without adding to the micromanagement then requiring roads/caravans to connect cities and outposts adds to the game. Just off the top of my head: Caravan's have levels like cities. Level 1 is an undefended caravan (dude in a covered wagon). Level 2 is that s

The WOM caravan system was terrible. However, there does need to be some sort of supply line mechanic to deal with outposts. Not only does it make realistic sense but it makes gameplay sense. We shouldn't be able to plop outposts down anywhere we want and receive immediate benefit. Think of having an open borders agreement with a neighboring kingdom. I can travel through their kingdom and then drop an outpost in empty territory on the other s
I've definitely seen plenty of physics caused deaths involving mountains or walls and Fus Roh Dah or impact knockback. No horse heroics though.
