I can research them as a kingdom in 1.2c beta too... I'll try and build a boat today and see if it works or not. Why are they taking them away?
I noticed in 1.2c BETA that in manual combat the attack happens and then the counter happens even if you kill the attackee. This killed several of my champions before I noticed. I started a new game in 1.2c BETA and it is a mess, my population usage jumps as you conquer more cities and possibly as some cities level. I didn't see any caravans or settlers built in 4s but I did play for 50 minutes before I found a 2nd hero to recruit. Did find a wife until nearly 2.5 hours into it. I've seen this too in 1.2b.
Issue with expanding resource requirements in a game for buildings. When you conquer an enemy city those building get added to your civilization at the new cost = bankrupt population requirements/impair your civilization. All you can do is either raze the city of demolish most of its buildings. Recommend geometric growth per city and this should avoid this with a possible allowance for conq

I have the same issue, I've been trying to complete a game on a large map and even 1.2xxx crashes 1-2 times per turn and often the save game/auto save crashes too. Although I can reload to that point as the game seems to crash immediately after the save not during and the file is usable. Also did you notice all units moves are cut to 2 on reload though.... at the start of
I loaded v1.19j, most issues are resolved thanks. Freezes in combat, one party is dead and trun will not end. And game crashed (out of memory) seem more frequent.

The standard v1.11 is running currently. I downloaded it and ran the update prior to playing at all. note - I originally installed the limited edition and updated it to 1.11 but it was really f'ed up and the skin overlays had transparency issues and when you did play the first time you had a character advance to level 2 you couldn't assign points so you got stuck... so I tried the downloadable version.
More: To the first point 4: Couldn't hire heroes again, found the message of why. I needed 4,294,967,296.0 gildar to hire them. I guess I had reset the negative to a really big positive. Additionally: 1) Dragon's fire breath attack animation remains on screen after use. 2) The number of huts that spawn for the last quest is not right. I had 20-30 huts that all lead to that quest on a large map. All but the one I hit disappeared when you started the quest. 3) When you teleport somewhere the group will try and run to the old destination still if they used to be headed somewhere. So far I've been playing the game and found a few issues, don't know if they're already logged but here are my thoughts: 1) Can’t find inactive caravans, i.e. sent two to the same city, one will sit outside it inactive for eternity. Maybe none combat units can be cycledthrough if not moving somehow 2) Nice to see: Quest Log. or Able to review quest details after visiting a hut/nota

Yes, that is exactly what I was after, just wasn't 100% on how to say it. So I guess me and my 'dead rat' will wonder the map for a while... this game really is a little more than a little buggie, but has potential. Thanks Mate!
