for shame on me, tl;cf (too long, couldn't finish) but! this ^, if it's not already been said, is why i LOVE SD!!!
bad idea aside, i doubt they can do this as all their forums are linked. e.g. galciv/sins/elemental/etc all use the same account. not to mention their non-gaming pages.
They could indicate ownership under a persons name. Quite a few placed do that. Little icon of each stardock game you have.
that i like =)
Frogboy's mentioned it a number of times as a future update. ... i think he mentions it in the tutorial video when selecting map size saying that the 64-bit version will allow for larger maps.
I hope Stardock will be able to allow me to d-load at a different comp to get my updates. Or send out discs to customers like me with the patches on them.
Frogboy has stated that he would like to take a yearly archive/snapshot of the game to be released via cd/dvd for people like you =) back on topic... could someone remind me if i should be expecting a charge to my account now or, as i've been in the
not got to play the release yet but... for sovereigns and friednly NPC's you could pass equipment around by drag and drop and then double click on an item in their inventory to get it to equip. don't know if the same would be true for the peasants...
working for me too =)
nope, no reboot. and i've been a bit eager to get playing so i've uninstalled and i'm currently downloading/installing.
yes that's exactly what i'm looking at! *feigns knowing nod* ;-) worked this bit out as well if it helps: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9568289/Elemental0_98-2010-07-29T20-15-39-13.zip though i guess you're saying i should reinstall.
so though out beta i've had crashes about 5-15 mins into any game. now i'm crashing on launch =( debug: http://pastebin.com/atuxUa6r dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/teKVmNTi let me know if you need anything else =) p.s. there's also a forum bug as i can't get this to space properly.
well certainly tell them any issues you're seeing and i'm sure they'll include fixes for the release... which is still some time away ;)
banned for bad poetry
yeah, Dash5's got it right. any offical words want ot be said. i presume it's ok as i'm helping you out, but it would be nice to know for furture reference as i would like to be able to play on my eee if i could.
hello SD. i've jsut been commenting on this post: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/366342 and remembered something in the Impulse license that says you can only install it on two machines. as i want to test elemental on the following (for both our benifits) can you give me special dispensation. ta home made PC, AMD athelon 2.5ghz, 4gb ram, XP home. HP intel core-duo E6750 @2.66ghz asus eee901, xp home acer travelmat
Banned as harpo made a good call. harpo... what can i say... you'll always be Napoleon Solo to my Illya Kuryakin.
2nd. this is probably already planned for as it's in galciv but just in case =)
I sit upon the crumbled wall of Arthan, for to long it's people forgotten in the darkness. this will change.

baed for forcing him to use 's i ever liked them ayway.
just wondering if you meant object dock instead of object desktop (not sure what that is) as it's available to me and i've only object dock. ***edit*** n/m it's v2.5 not the beta, impulse is saying there's an update but that i don't have reg keys (how do insert a screenshot?)
i really do believe this is just a knee jerk reaction to SD's first multiplayer experience, once bitten twice shy and all that. the limit already exists is true, but for those who may be willing to suffer lag to play with friends SD is effectively saying too bad. the limit exists and is self enforcing, providing people have the correct info (i.e. everyone's upload speed, ping, etc) i understand not wanting to go though all the name calling over connectivity again but t
so i've calmed down and reflected since i first posted. i think i was just in shock when i read frogboy say "we plan to be total bastards" [e digicons]:'([/e] ... say it ain't so [e digicons]:pout:[/e] having gone through demigod beta and release i can fully appriciate his frustration with connectivity issues. though i don't see the need for a hard coded limit if there's a plan to show peoples upload speeds, why not let people decide if they want to play
"Even more specifically, it’s almost always some DSL user in Europe who gets 600kb/sec downloads but some tiny number uploaded... We plan to develop tools for Elemental that will let people know their upload speeds. In that game, we plan to be total bastards and simply not let people play online MP if they have low-end connections." - Frogboy (http://forums.demigodthegame.com/362335/page/1/#2351677) this has simply left me with wtf!?
Frogboy posted June 30th: "The beta version should be ready in around 60 days. Hard to believe that we’re finally getting close after all this time. Players who pre-order it will get access to the betas and qualify to have access to the alpha version."
