Using FireFox 3.6 and all the pages take a long long time to load.
Same here, also with FireFox 6. This has been going on for many months, mostly in the morning and afternoons (Central time). As WinCustomize tries load if I hit the back arrow and the the forward arrow it usually loads right away. I have a high speed broadband connection (ethernet) and connect at around 83 Mb/s.

XP is still a strong OS and I suspect there are substantially more users (including so called power users) out there than ya'll suspect. I would not be surprised if MS discontinues support for Vista. It's an embarrassment for them and is just a step above garbage. If you skinners ignore XP, Stardock will b egin to loose its customer base.

Let's see if I have this straight. I currently have Object Desktop @ $49.95/year and a WinCustomize subscription @ $19.95/year; plus I purchase most MasterSkins. And now, if I want a MyColors2008 suite I will need to pony up an additional $19.95 for each one I select. I love you guys, but it seems to me that you're very close to shooting yourselves in the foot! :)

Good on ya, Frogboy. That needed to be said. And it needs to be told again and a again and again. Skinning is an artform and as I am not an artist, I appreciate the heck out of those folks who have the talent and skills to create all the WB's walls, icons, etc.that are displayed on this site. I have no qualms purchasing MasterSkins if I like them (I have most of them) and I pass on the few that don't appeal to me.

I feel that Skin Studio should remain in the Normal (regular) version. Also,it seems to me that the Ultimate Version is primarily geared to Vista and there is a substantial number of customers that do not plan to downgrade to Vista any time soon, if ever ... myself included.

Quick question. When SDC advised the availability of SkinStudio 6 Professisonal (Beta), I installed it ... no problems. But, I notice that SkinStudio Professional (old one) still shows as installed. Should it be un-installed or does it make any difference?

Up to yesterday, 8/7, I was not able to install WB6. But, a new build for WB6 & the new SkinStudio beta were released on 8/7, so I said, "What the hey" and gave it another shot. Both WB6 and SkinStudio installed slicker than greased owl doo-doo! Whatever was tweaked in the new build sure solved my problem. WB6 seems much smoother and loads skins with less effort. I'm playing around with the new featur

I've been trying for 2 days to update to WB6 without any luck. I un-installed SDC and then re-installed it. Now, with 98% of the final installation complete SDC coughs up a notice that it can't find WbSrv.dll and the install fails ... aaagain. But, that .dll is actually present at C:\Programs\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds. Following is the WB6 installation log: I've been trying for 2 days to update to WB6 without any luck. I un-installed SDC and then re-installed it. Now,

Back again. I still am unable to load WB6. Yes, I have the correct build of SDC, uninstalled WB5 prior to attempting to install WB6, but the installation fails each time I try. Error message is "unable to archive WBG ... do you wish to continue with installation". The installation of WB6 gets down to very last extraction phase and stops at 98% complete. Final message is that installation failed. No kidding <

When I tried install WB6 I received error message "Installation failed" I have the latest SDC and had un-installed WB5. I rebooted and tried again ... no luck. So, I rebooted and re-installed WB5. All my skins and settings were intact. One additional detail ... on the first try to install WB6 a message appeared stating that there was an archiving error and did I wish to proceed.
