I'll keep this brief. Artists are more than entitled to be compensated for their creative efforts and I sure don't object to paying extra for Master Blinds if they strike my fancy. The same goes for animated walls. However, I personally don't care for them ... don't like stuff moving on my desktop when I'm trying to get stuff done. Folks who believe artists should starve can just go somewhere else.

OK ... I did it the hard way. Right clicked on each folder > Properties > Change Icon and followed the many prompts to Icon Packager and selected the folder icon I wanted. It's a real tedious pain but only needs to be done once (unless you clean install XP). Sure would be nice if there was a way to auto-skin them.

I should have added this in the first place. http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=skinningfavoriteskd4.jpg As you can see, the folders are not skinned.

The folder icons are not skinned by WB, IconPackager skins them. Running IE7, the folders, including ones I have created are skinned by Icon Packager. You're right, Icon Packager skins the icons (up late last night!). The Favorites short-cuts are skinnned as advertised, but if you create folders to sub-divide the short-cuts those folders do not get skinned, at least not in IE-6 SP2.

Hi, I know that WB5 skins the Favorites in IE6, but, unless I have missed something, if you create folders to organize the Favorites, the folders themselves do not get skinned and remain the Microsoft vanilla shade. I have been manually changing each folder which can be rather tedious. Is there an easier way to do this? Thanks, T

I recently installed a XFX GeForce 7900 GT and loaded the 93.71 driver and other than a little flickering in the NVIDIA control panel the driver works just fine.

I am running the current beta of WindowBlinds and the new formatting seems to have omitted the option to "not" load a given WB's wallpaper as has been the case previously. Or, is the switch buried someplace secret!!

There is way too much anal micro-management in today's workplace. Leave the Internet accessable and fire the workers who abuse the privilege and who are not performing at or above the company's proficiency standards. Employees perform at much higher levels when they are given ownership in their part of the organization.

I'm a minimalist and very possessive of my screen space. I have very few on-screen icons and those are at the bottom of the screen just above the Taskbar. The only other stuff on my desktop are a clear calendar and a clear clock (both widgets). I really like the Quick Launch tool bar and use it constantly. The last thing I want is a big, honkin' sidebar hanging on the side of the screen. I guess it is fair to say I would never use one regardless of the

That SkinBase.org site is full of pop-ups, pop-unders and I even got link to a porn site I am a member at Skinbase and I have never seen any pop-ups or any of the things you say you got there. Sounds like you have some spyware on your computer that the program you use didn't catch or find.

Happy New Year ya'll. Think about this, New Years is the rare holiday that everyone on the planet can share? OK, so China celebrates a little later, it's the thought that counts.

"Been there, done that too, Rahn. I can't live without my WB now. I change skins sometimes four times a day, just cuz I can. I have hopes than when I finally get to upgrade to x64 that WB and all the other Stardock products are ready for it too. And when Vista is released, I will soon be in line for my copy...with the hope that I can still use my fav skins." My constant changing skins serveral times a day drove my wife absolutely nuts. I g
