First question, who won the resource system debate? Second question, how about an in depth explanation of the combat system plans? Third question, fully scripted modifications or something more along the lines of what was done in Sins, which is ridiculously easy to mod through the entity files, but doesn't allow anything new?

The use of quest is misleading. You're asking for a smart order que that fills in the blanks to achieve the given command, and preset attitudes that will automate certain things. It's something I definitely want to see, but a very misleading title. :)

So... You're trying to convince us that you're one of the few people who's brain isn't dribbling out their asshole, huh? The gall of it, claiming you don't buy things because of commercials! To be fair, his commercials are actually some of the better ones around, accurate, informative, and relevant to the product being sold. As opposed to a car commercial that spends thirty seconds insinuating that you're the kind of guy that gets laid twice a day by c

I'd rather have regular turns, take twice as long at multiplayer, and screw the annoying simultaneous turns. It blows chunks for single player, and I've not used one yet that I preferred to waiting in multiplayer. As long as it's optional, whatever you impatient people come up with is fine by me. If it's not optional, I add you to my hitlist when it gets implemented. :)

The Oxyclean guy. He's a long time pitchman, one of the more successful. Probably more relevant to society than Jackson too, since he actually has a career to deprive society of.
I'm fine with the illusion, but, really all that does is just bog down the games for those with lesser than high end computers that can actually run all that illusional animation.
I can't believe this is even being argued. How can you have played a Total War game and have such... I'm too tired to finish that sentence, can't think of a word that conveys such idiocy...

Turns versus real time factor into the immediacy of actions. For instance, dodging archer fire by zig zagging your unit. Something that is possible in real time, and not in turn based. Even if turns are continuous and flow in real time, it still holds because your units are reacting to your commands inside the turn framework. You cannot time actions to break the game mechanics, one of the more irritating problems in RTS games.

Set phasers(yes, the ship phasers) to stun, city wide dispersal. Pick up grunts at leisure. Beam all aliens of a particular species into space several dozen at a time. The problem with ground battles in Trek is that only a lunatic would be geared for them, you'd need to be able to carry a warp core around and generate a shield bubble to avoid doing anything but take a nap or see how long you can hold your breath while the blood boils in your

Try reading the newspaper on the ground, in deep grass, brush, anything that casts lots of small shadows. Being able to see something in direct light a foot from your face, and being able to see the army in the tree line are two different things, night time combat was very risky before the invention of night vision goggles, still is even with them.

I'm not 13! I wasn't this immature when I was 13. Actually, I might have been more mature when I was 13... Servious, the least you could do is call me a tasteless prick, pretending my reply doesn't exist is just mean!

Nice necropost. People are about as light as people can be. It takes very little variation in size to go from healthy adult to crippled by 35. Even just being seven feet tall leads to severe joint problems well before old age, the body isn't built to take that much stress. If the bones were much lighter without being made of something significantly stronger, you'd break like glass. If your muscles were less dense, you'd have trouble moving.

Between Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson, there's just no contest in the hot white chick department. One of em was, and one of em had a nose job every other week trying to be.

Oblivion+Doom 3... This could be really good for the gaming world. A stable engine that ran well, a game that was fun without adding 100 mods onto it(ok, so I exaggerate, a little) and most importantly, people that can texture! Of course, it could also be really bad, the next generic first person shooter could be borrowing the same engine Bethesda uses, and be really boring...

Not surprising that I'd get the badguy wrong, can't stand LOTR. :( I think evil should be hot pink. Why? Because people that paint their houses hot pink are evil fucking bastards. This thread got weird, I can't help myself.

Out of curiosity, when were you working at Wally World? They're on a massive downward spiral right now for selection. It wasn't even half as bad just a couple years ago. The clothes section keeps expanding though...

The Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States: "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments be inflicted." The crime, a few dollars saved infringing copyrights. The punishment, nearly two million dollars. You could use it as an example under the encycopedia entry for excessive fine. Anyone that thinks it's not an unconstitutional ruling need

It does sort of make sense that an empire built around knights would be "good". If they were to actually follow the code of Chivalry, it's as ridiculously honorable as a society gets. In practice, it was completely ignored, but games don't have to follow the historical practice while applying the theory. There are equally evil examples, plenty of human sacrifice to go around for instance. It's rather fitting that Humans don't follow the rule. The
The Walmart PoS system is ironically, not a PoS.
Wrong. You don't have any sales for something that isn't stocked. An idiot with an MBA that can't think his way out of a paper bag has never worked in a store. No matter how many times you put in an order for the fastest selling tuna around, you'll never sell more than a single case if you can't get them to stock more than a single case. Oatnut bread, never more than

Fucking ouch, that blue on white hurts! :( I'd have to break down and get an LCD display if I had to use a white background, and turn the contrast way down when browsing. 85hz just ain't fast enough for a white background, and even without the flicker it hurts to look at bright shit for long.

If I can't make individual units that are larger than that, I'll break down and cry before release rolls around... Not that I'd mind playing such a limited game, but not after all the statements on what the Frog wants to do with combat. You can't have some army slaying titan walking through hordes of troops without having hordes of troops to walk through.

I spend five seconds on a post and the only one to pay any attention to it is that Karma whore trying to make me look like a respectable member of the community! Since the subject persists, I guess I should attempt a more serious post and shred the premise. Unicorns aren't good. The magical fairy version we have today is itself a broken mold. Screw the molds and just go with whatever works, they're moldy anyway.
