As far as I know the option for island maps went away sometime during the beta.

I'm finding games to be too much of gamble on how much of what is where. I've had starts loaded with multiple fertile lands, gold mines, and libraries, while others have been a farm, a mine and not much else only to stumble upon an AI with 5 farms in his starting area. I'd very much like to see the following options added to the create world screen: Resource Density, Food Density, Unit Build Speed, Monster/Bandit Frequency, Minor Faction #. Pretty much all stuff we already had in Glac
I would say PCGamer is dead on about this game. 6 months of polish and bug repair would have made it ready for release. It still would be light in content, but good enough to release. This company is working to get a reputation like SOE has for games. Wait 6 months before you buy it. If you want to make big money in PC games look at what Blizzard does. 1 million sales the first day on SC2 is about releasing a p
I really don't understand why the game wasn't shipped with the Large Address Aware flag as a default >_>
Yeah...that's not there anymore, or rather it gets cut off. Way to play your own game kryo [e digicons][/e]
I'm trying to figure out exactly what happened at Stardock to make them release the game in it's current state. I can only assume it to be a case of budget related pressure combined with Molyneux Syndrome. I never played the early pre-patch release to hopefully avoid a bad first impression, but I should have probably waited longer. I have to agree with with a lot of the things I've been reading, and I dont think I have anything else to add to any of critisms so the only thing I'm going to har
Quoting Xtropy, reply 1The last Radeon drivers screwed up AoW: SM for me, have to play the game without Direct 3D. Hopefully the new version will fix the problem! Edit: No, still broken. Ah well thanks for the news anyway, maybe it will help out people who are having problems with EWOM. does it change anything? I mean this game is so old that it's ugly anyway (one of my favourite tho... with MoM of c
Wait...They still haven't fixed this? WTF Stardock?
I cant even get the EULA to load >_>
work faster!
It's not odd that Tom would focus on the math. He's a strategy gamer. And math is pretty important in strat games :P. I think he even use to work with Brad at one point. *did some digging around found an old podcast...something about Brad's cyst and eggs hatching off of him.
X3 Reunion still trumps Terran Conflict for me because of the mod support. In one sector there was a Super Star Destroyer controlling 80 or so TIE interceptors, fighters, and bombers. In another there was an enemy fleet of migrating Xenon ships composed of Cylon Base Stars, Raiders, and a few of the stock ships. I was cruising around in a Battlerstar Galactica with the Battlestar Pegasus on my wing, both fully loaded with Vipers ready to laun
Arrrggghhhh daaaaamnn you Stardock!
So uh I checked out this stream and was greeted with pictures of naked chicks, and rosie o'donnel. my 5 year old nephew was right next to me. Shame, I'm not going to purchase this anymore because of that.
TY Tridus. Honestly the realtime battles were the only reason I purchased Elemental, so having them gone is a bit of a $50 sore spot...I get cranky when they are mentioned.
The initial plan was to go with pixel-based movement and continuous turns, but most beta testers wanted the more traditional turn-based tilemap combat. So that's the way it ended up going.
Who...what? Where was this discussion...? I was under the impression realtime combat was ditched due to technical limitations, not whining.
Then our experience differs, and Stardock is reliable enough that they'll pump out a game that isn't buggy, being a part of the beta has shown how far Elemental has come. I'm not relaxing because it's a beta, I'm relaxing because it's Stardock. That is all, Paradoxical
they still haven't fixed that FOW bug in galciv2...
I'm interested in working on/getting help with a mod to make 'wizard towers' similar to age of wonders. The idea is to be able to build a tower in high level city (4-5), and have one per faction. This tower would serve as a 'base' for a sovereign, that would give increased Essence as well as essence generation. It would also either a) extend the range of his spells (including being able to cast in combats
After watching gameplay videos, that user interface is making me kind of hot and bothered D:
Screw it. First thing I'm doing is tweaking the brains out of that GUI so hard the remains of the first Macintosh will feel it.
I saw the screens and trailer on some site and they were tagged with "Project Icarus" and i was excited. Then I saw the name Bioshock, and became considerably less excited.
Duke who? Who cares that is.
Every child of the 80's who thought the Duke was the most badass thing ever, every 12 and 13 year old who saw those pixelated strippers for the first time, who went around flushing toilets, tossing out catch phrase after catch phrase...etc
Oh well since Raven doesn't like the Snathi, I'm just going to abandon the whole thing then so no one has the chance to force this on him.
yeah, just like freespace 2. Colony Wars was impressive because of the branching story arc though.
