Relatives would only be channellers if you specifically give them magic ability, I think?
I guess it is not yet decided. However I think it shall be possible, that some of them may become channelers too. It shan't be automatic, but possible. It may especially be useful in cases, if they become disloyal to you. It may also be a reason why the turn on you (I am better channeler than you, my father, and I save/conquer the world better).

I don't like this idea. It is too complicated and it does not allow you to improve the counter ability of the channelers. Simple equation p% = (dispel spell strength + dispel bonuses) / (dispel spell strength + dispel bonuses + spell strength + spellcasters bonuses)*100 It easily lets you to add abilities and artifact that increase/decrease the chance of the dispel. Dispeling spells shall have the higher strength than the spells of the same rank. It also complies better
In the meantime, while updating new maps in my GPS, I tried to analyze that picture. Well I realized there is a new Impulse version available (not hidden in the picture). New Impulse looks better than the old one. I had however no luck finding the encrypted message(s) in the picture. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e] ===> a clinic for crazy programmers
One good ability for a spy unit may be better chance to flee from battle.
Elemental t-shirt? It sounds interesting, however it depends on how much would cost the shipment to Europe.
I hope the beta will bring some light to this. The question is: are bronze swords III an item, that can be carried or are bronze swords III the same as bronze swords, but have better attack value, if you have this technology invented?
Hmmm you've been saying this so often, I begin to think there might actually be a bit of fun to be found.
As for me, I have the fun already. However I bet there will be at least one person that will complain about how poor the game is and that it has been the a waste of money, because there is no magic in the game and the game has bad graphics too.... If Stardock write it often, some of those people might read this and will shut up. Not all of them of course, but
You are not quite right. If you need to pay for the upgrade, it may be faster, but it will cost you something (money, resources etc.). If the upgrade is free, the value of the unit shall remain the same (otherwise you are right and this is an exploit). I hope the beta will be out soon, so we will se how the upgrade is implemented. What I had in mind if I wrote about the old city improvements it was the problem of Civilization games. In the late time it was useless to found
Very good system was in Sid Meyer's Colonization*). You needed a transport (a wagon or a ship) unit if you wanted to transport wares. It was possible to attack the unit and get the goods. If you wanted to cut suply lines of the enemy, you had to hunt theese units. I am not sure however, whether this system would be good in Elemental too: 1) in Colonization the number of wares was fixed from the beginning to the end of the game 2) the number of possible wares was low, so it was
Completely agreed! I liked this in GC2. NPC races is predetermined, however the player may do good or bad things. I remember there is an event in GC2, where one evil race (drengin i think) turns to good. It was very refreshing.
No smoke, but a computer at work. At home it is better.
BreadMan017: Better!
The angle is good. I have the problem to see the dark thing that stands on the right side of the tent. I guess it is a guard tower.
Yes, the AI reaction is trong. Last time I wanted the peaceful ascession victory I was forced to the military one. If someone declares war to me and is weaker - it is definitely bad idea.
I like the picture on the right side (the city pictures). In the picture on the left side, there are some objects that can not be recognized. Perhaps the gamma correction may correct this, but it is not good if there is something like this.
I am for soft 75. However it would be wise to test the fallen land too. Would it be possible to arrange few enemy units to the picture too? I have found the friendly one after a minute of watching the pictures. It is not good. If the enemy units are as invisible as this one, it is actually prety bad. Suggestion: NWN has a feature if you press the Tab button, all important objects on the screen start to glow. If you release the button, the scene is rendered normally. It may be go
Pnakotus: Agreed! I have no console, but I buy more games than I am able to play. And they all are good games (write "collector edition" on the box and I must buy it [e digicons];P[/e] ).
Randomized quests may not be difficult to implement (it depends), however what is difficult is to achieve the balance - monsters, spoils of victory and the quest failure consequences.
endofdayz: Agreed! The user shall not think he is punished, because he plays the game well. If he dominates the game, he will probably win, but it is good if there is a chance the things become complicated.
Elemental is supposed to be highly modable. It is highly probable someone will implement Krynn.
This idea is good. Random events, that may change the balance of the game are good thing. Some people hate it, but I think it is good in general. They shall be both good and bad. Such events shall happen either randomly or trigered by some action (a defeat of a faction, declaration of war, a hero falls, generated magic exceeds some critical level in some city etc...)
Elemental will be realeased in the USA, so I suggest to implement the setting of the gender (who is the rightfull heir). Otherwise you may have problems with feminists. [e digicons][/e] Even if we ignore them, it is true, that some societies prefer men while the other women. E.g. the king of the Amazons is an unthinkable thing. Or the pope is never a woman. Well that case happened, but....
I have never heard about this game. However the reason is the development of the PC games is very expensive. If you create a game that work on one console, it will work everywhere in the world. However if the PC game works on one PC, there still may be thousands of computer configuration, where the game will not run. Sad, but true.
OK. However the question is: Will bronze sword I become a bronze sword II for no cost? For new units it is OK. For the old ones it is not OK. Is the upgrade the upgrade of a soldier or a squad?
I disagree with the idea of "removing of old technologies" from what you can build. I agree it was sometimes unpleasant to upgrade older units like the existing ships in GC2, however automatic upgrade of all weapons is not good. If you have a sword and you invent a doublebladed sword, the old swords will never become the doublebladed ones. If you want all your units to have the new weapons, you need to pay for it and it may cost you a lot if you have lots of units. It was the sa
