"Elemental: War of Magic Coming August 24, 2010" March 20th, 2011 - I still can't play a single game all the way through. But I have my little dragon, so there's that.

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress includes an all-new battle system, more sophisticated spell casting, an updated economic system, new game mechanics, more creatures, quests and much more. Elemental: Fallen Enchantress will be released as a stand-al
Dunno if this still works, been a while since i looked at it or needed such a thing. https://forums.elementalgame.com/393090
quoting: "If you have a 64bit OS then all you need to do is patch your game." I know, I wasn't specific in my post, but playing games with how much memory is accessible isn't really a fix anyway. Ok, ok - thank you though, that was thoughtful.
I find the current state of the game not particularly "fun" to play. So i'm hoping they'll fix the OOM bugs when they patch it up with fun content.
I don't find this. What gets me so very horked off about this issue is the very fact that the game is finally starting to be really fun. I want to play, I get maybe 1/3 though a nice big map, and then it starts crashing every 5-6 turns with OOM. Updated drivers, nothing else runnin
It takes a radical amount of cognitive dissonance to paint me as the bad guy for not doing someone else's job - a job for which I have already paid . If you enjoy doing it, more power to you. If you think it makes me a jerk - well, I can be. But telling people it's their job to report bugs to get them fixed is blaming the victims. Hell, I could probably have figured out how to upload the whatever by now, but I resent the need. Anyway, whatever. See you in 1.1.</
So...um, did you send in your bug file?
Um... I didn't pay $80 to be a beta tester. If they want to credit me back some of my money, I'd be happy to do work for Stardock, but I already have a job. This is not what a game community is for.
35 minutes into a new game, solid freeze during tactical combat. Please send out an email when 1.1 goes live, I'm not going to keep up to date with this anymore.
ETA on 1.1? Most of the things I'm waiting for are not listed in this changelog. I'm sure it was a lot of work guys, I'm not trying to knock it, but I've burned out on caring why it's taking so long to get a working/polished game. My enthusiasm (and the likelihood of recommendations to friends) is sharply declining. Bugfixes are a good thing, but there's a long road to hoe before I'm moved to even start a new game. I'll try to get interested sometime in the next week th
I love my dragon. Thanks, Elemental team. [e digicons]
Temples of essence apply to all your units everywhere... I think... They don't have to be stationed in the city. That mechanic makes mass imbue strategies incredibly powerful. When shared mana pools show up, it will have to be re-balanced.
we should also be allowed to have chain-male jock straps
I strongly and emphatically endorse this suggestion.
Quoting Shrap123, reply 8While I have nothing against chainmail bikinis I was really looking for something a little bit more realistic (if there is such a thing). Realistic? You think it makes sense for the women who are in combat, to have their armour cover as little skin as possible? Sorry, but get a %$*&ing grip, get a girlfriend, and get laid. Pathetic to be honest.
Attack power items contribute to bow damage as well, I think. So, rings, necklaces, magic armor (which I haven't actually seen yet, so maybe it doesn't have attack stats).
Don't women come in different shapes than men? It's been a while, but I seem to recall something about that.
I'm still getting out of memory. I'm pretty sure it's from combat.
I am playing and having a great time, but I don't think 1.07 is the release version yet. Keep it up guys!
My wish list: Continue reducing memory leaks. Shards working as intended. built-in faction builder (is this already in? Can't find it.) Interface! Too many issues to detail, but I'm sure you guys have a master list somewhere. It's time to look at it. Additional champion abilities. The winning strat is recruitment, and diversity is nice. (I may just not be leveling up my adventure tree enough, not sure) I know there are a t
For me it's not Master of Magic (never played it, but want to now after hearing how, basically, perfect it seems to be). For me, it's Age of Wonders. Got all those games, loved them all - have been looking for another one ever since. Maybe even some Warlords 3. Actually I think true, old-school, RPGs are just as rare. The Bard's Tale, Might and Magic types. Wizardry 8 was the last one to give me that feel.
Signs point to no .
Somebody on the journal thread about the new patch said it did fix this issue. He said he was hitting folks for 140 damage with fireball. He had five fire shards. Can anyone confirm it does or does not work?
Actually, I didn't have any shards in my game last night, so I don't really know for sure. It wasn't in the patch notes though.
There's a mod which fixes it though, here.
Ahh cool! Thanks for the info.

Or pass out on their favorite food and por... eh... pour a nice glass of wine. Thanks guys.
imho I think the gamer community is a majority of FPS, RTS and WOW gamers. I think the TBS gamers are a minority
I agree with this, but I don't believe the gap is as great as it seems. A game like MoM (and, ultimately I think Elemental) combines aspects of city builder sims, fantasy RPGs, tactical combat, and exploration games. It holds great interest to the tabletop & board gaming crowd too. In addition, a tu
