What Karma? According to the site where I'm from, you have exactly 0.
It depends from which site you are checking this post. The stardock forums are interconnected and many posts can be seen from multiple sites. I am posting from the elemental forum. If you are checking the same post from another forum, you will see the Karma displayed people have collected there.
Why does every OT thread inevitably end up being about my karma /wrists
Hey, man... Sorry, did not mean to offend you or anything... (Yeah, a little envy here... I was SOOOO proud about my two karma points... [e digicons][/e] )
Man... Annatar... You got already more than 300 Karma points on the Sins forum... And you start to collect them here, too... Is there a time when you actually sleep?
Man, I love the part where they add the sword and the characters arm is being pulled down by its weight. The character goes sth like: "What the f... Oh, nice!"
I am... impressed... Good work!
*looking around* Oookaayyy...One or the other flower blooming... bugs buzzing... the beta would be fine for me... But seriously: I'd be surprised if they have the time to start beta testing. Stardock and GPG will be busy preparing demigod for launch...
Hm, I wonder how this game will evolve... I guess, it depends a lot on how user friendly the modding tools are. Can someone, who has never modded before, have an easy start with it and change the game to a total new one? Perhaps even without looking at code at all? This would be a daring task... And a fitting achievement for stardock as I learned to know it. It would end up in having creator programs for everything: Units, houses, cloth, plants, beasts... Even rules for the game mecha
You won't be charged until the beta is out. As soon as you can download the beta of elemental, you'll be charged. Hm, if you are truly worried, contact stardock support or sales (I guess sales is the one you want) and let them send you a confirmation.
I think Stardock's beta process is a very clever move. The developers directly get feedback from some players and the players have the chance to contribute. If I understood correctly (according to the bits and peaces of information scattered around on this forum...), we'll get only the table cloth to play around with in the first beta. Yeah, the beta definitaly won't be a nearly finished product. I like the idea of being directly involved in the development process.
Hm... if I reconsider the whole ting... Elemental goes on PUBLIC beta in june. Then it could still go on internal beta this spring and everything would be consistent...
Hello everyone! Just one question: So far I thought the elemental beta is going to start sometime in june/ july. However, I found this on the SoaSE forum: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?aid=342572 Frogboy is talking about the final stages of the Demigod beta and how the betas are supposed to work (or not). In this post, he mentiones that the Elemental beta is going to be this spring... Did I miss sth? Do you have any further knowle

I hope for a hotseat mode... Two players on one computer... That would be ideal for me...
@ Fenhiro: Yeah, you might be right, it might complicate things a bit. However, there have been other historical examples in which there actually have been teams of archers and shieldmen. Just googled it and found this: http://www.pbm.com/~lindahl/articles/defensive_archery.html Of course, a secondary type of weapon/defense system would be a good thing. I personally would love to additionally combine things, too (just like in the archer/swordmen
I like that! Nicely done! Perhaps some breeding stables for captured animals! Hm, it would be nice, if you first have to hunt an animal for taming, before you can use it as a mount. Have some horses run around on the map and you have a dedicated hunter unit, which get's you the animals you desire. Then it will take a certain amount of time before you can use them (until you have tamed them in your stable and can start breeding them for a future mounted unit...) Just a
Hm... If I think about it, it would be a good idea to have basic categories for creating equipment/units. During weapon creation, you have to choose the type of weapon you want to build (longe range: bow, close quarter: sword, extended reach:pike, siege: catapult) . The categories themself already come with a predefined set of values/ abilities: long range has an attack value of 1. It's special ability is that it can attack everything within 5 tiles of the archer during the co
I wonder, how complicated the tactical combat is going to be handeled. It would have important consequences for customization of equipment. Let's say I want to create a pike for my anti knight infantry. They need pikes to unhorse the knights. How shall a situation like this be resembled? I guess, there would be basically two ways: 1: during the pike creation you add points. A basic spear has an attack value of 1. The new pike has a +1 value (makes 2 [e digicons]^_^[/e] ). The
I used to play "Their finest hour: The Battle of Britain". It was a tactical/combat flight simulator, pretty neat stuff. With the box there was this book containing sth like 5% of game manual and 95% of data on different planes, weapons, air physics and things like that. Still have the book around somewhere...
I hope the zoom to mouse option will be in again... I really love that feature in Sins and GalCivII...
I think we have the chance for a really cool game. And I would love to see sth completly new... There are already a couple of ideas floating around. However, it is difficult to focus on sth specific if you don't know exactly how the game has been envisioned. We will have to wait for the beta, adapt our ideas to "reality" ( in a fantasy computer game... I should get a life...[e digicons][/e] ) and go from there.
I wonder if the ground plays a role, too. Would be nice if we could have little hills on which to put our archers (getting a range bonus) surounded by pikemen to keep those charging knights at bay... Would be cool, if weather could play a role, too (heavy wind is bad for archers, as it is more difficult to hit a target.) One would need a basic weather forecast in the game, though. Otherwise battles would be too much dependent on luck (damn, I ordered my crossbow men to attack during t
It would be funny to see a Scandinavian Localized version. Mixed Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Take whatever words are the most archaic in every language when deciding what to translate to, and bam. I'd lol.
Man, don't forget the Finnish!
Man, I preordered Elemental yesterday... Looking forward to beta testing. I love the idea of only going with the cloth first. Smart move... [e digicons][/e]
