These things already exist, if you don't pay your taxes. Everytime you get a pay check unless you've adjusted your claim in the beginning money is taken out for taxes, and if you don't pay you'll get thrown in jail or face fines. IMO it's easy to say that downloading and using a piece of illegal software is theft (I mean the fact that you are using a serial number you didn't purchase ought to give that a way). No docklets or error messages; but I did notice that it seems to have something to do with hiding the taskbar, as long as the taskbar isn't hidden there's no problem. But if the taskbar is hidden it just freezes up.
