Lots of games try to be realistic but to be honest none of our computer hardware is capable of rendering graphics realistic enough to fool our eyes just yet. If you aim for a goal then you can achieve a high degree of graphical realism but if you reach too far then you end up with three things. Brown, Bloom and Boring.
http://store.steampowered.com/news/2116/ Now, it only begs the question: could Impulse get in the loop of this EA bonanza as well?
The better question is: Do we want crappy EA games on Impulse? Sure it could mean more money, but look at the quality of EA games... Dumbed down for the masses... I would prefer they avoid EA at all costs since I don't want the plague of 'more money but crappier games' to spread...

Just wondering here... but have you translated the words which appear in teaser trailer yet? https://forums.elementalgame.com/329963 There appears to be many words floating in the background... Also, the letter X appears in the trailer multiple times, in case you still need that letter's symbol and is VERY apparent what it's symbol is. Edit: after reverse engineering your translations compared to the symbols on the pages you translated,

I would like to know if it is translateable or if it is for the most part gibberish put there to make the concept art look cooler. Anyone know?

First of all... as far as I know, this isn't even alpha... pre-alpha if not pre-pre-alpha. One thing I like that seems to be showing is how different some of the styles are in different zoom levels... Way out it is like a LOTR map, a bit more in and it looks more realistic, while still retaining the fantasy feel of the design. I really like the way these are designed, since in many strategy games zooming out looks more like a satellite image than anything else (if you are allowed to zoom out

Heres the thing about concept art... The game never actually ends up looking like it. Sure, it may resemble it, but in game it will probably look very dissimilar. Hehe... although... to me that image yells 'Sam Gamgee!' Dunno why...

I am planning on staying in high school as long as I can. Mostly, this is because our state (ohio) has a PSEOP program, which lets those who score sufficiently high take college courses as a substitute for high school classes. I have been taking classes (paid completely by the state, even books) at the local community college since my freshman year. I took 6 semester hours my first year, 9 my second, 9 first semester of this year, and signed up for 15 credit hours next semester. Next year I w

I am looking into going to college for game programing and development, and by the looks of it RIT (Rochester) appears to be a good choice... A few months ago, I was sent a letter about my ACT scores in which it said I qualified for around $15,000 a year; a figure which it said could increase based on my PSAT score. By the way Moosetek, I don't care about those two scores.... Its the one question I missed in math that bothers me [e digicons]X|[/e] If not for that missed math question

PSAT not SAT... also known as NMSQT. So I'm not sure about the SAT... Also, while searching online, the PSAT seems to have been changed from Verbal to the two sections, as tetley noted above. Edit: after a quick search, it seems the SAT was also changed to 3 sections, the same name and such as the PSAT sections... And looking over the PSAt packet, the equivalent SAT score can be found by multiplying PSAT scores by 10.

I recently got the test results back from the PSAT, and I was wondering if the score I got is high enough to get scholorships, and if so what kind of scholarships could I expect to be getting. My scores were 74 in 'Critical Reading' 77 in 'Mathematics' and 65 in 'Writing' for an overall score of 216. Anyone have any idea what sort of scholarships that could get me?

I think most of the information asked about in this thread can be inferred by looking closely at the image of the battle under the media section. One thing I notice is the soldier closest to the dragon seems to have lost his sword (it is seen above him) which implies that soldiers can be separated from their equipment in battle. This could just be a superficial death animation, but some of the other soldiers also flying through the air still have their swords, implying it might be something m

Option to extend the map and continue on game completion . I posted about this separately and I don't know why it isn't the default for all 4X games. Once a MoM game was over, or past the tipping point and victory inevitable, that was it. 15 hours of gameplay were over and done forever, and there was no point revisiting all that history and story. If you can extend the map and continue, the story continues, the kingdom expands into new lands and challenge

Hmm... good job... I would grade this paper a B- B because I am not convinced, - because your argument had some flaws... First of all, many of the analogies you make are analogies of analogies. For example, in the birth section you use 'big bang.' Neither of the two actually have a bang involved, one involves an explosion of energy, the other analogy you created to support your argument (about birth being like a big bang). You assert that there is no being until the child

That is to say, will an AI joining a game with 7/8 players (for example) cause that game to be full, so Joe the player in the lobby sees it as full and can't join? Also, jerk AIs would be fun. Its not as fun to revel in your glorious victory when your opponent was a nice guy (or an AI in disguise) as it is when your opponent has really been a pain in your butt the entire game. If you are being told in a very undisguised manner by the AI "

The only limits will be your computer. I think they want more of LoTR style battles... so probably even higher than 10,000 depending on how big your army is. After all, this is stardock were talking about here, if SoaSE was any indication, even if there is an arbitrary maximum size, you will be able to mod it in under 10 minutes so that any limit on maximum size is raised up so high it is irrelevant.
