In the past several games I've played all the data has said that I have a positive net income, yet the value of my treasury steadily drops. I usually haven't built any military units, so there shouldn't be any hidden costs I'm forgetting about—and besides, I'd imagine that would be displayed in the finances screen. Unless, that is, the Soverign eats gold. Gotta get them magicks somehow. I tried to Jing a couple images to track the contrarian treasury change,

That's pretty much it. I tried to load a save game and after a bit on the loading screen with the world name, fft , it's gone. Sans the "turn-based fantasy strategy game has stopped working..." dialogue box I have previously gotten upon game crashes, though. I was doing something off to the side while Elemental was starting up, so for once I was letting the little intro movie play. I got to about "You travel NORTH..." when the game suddenly closes and Vista informs me that "turn-based fantasy strategy game" has stopped working. This happened twice before during v0.24, but that was after I tried to change Elemental to windowed mode (which, as it happens, didn't work anyway). This time I was just starting it up normally. <p
When I went to change the name of the settlement I was going to build, the text suddenly jumped to the left side of the text entry area and the cursor went to the second line. http://screencast.com/t/RGljsl1biP When I tried to enter a new name: http://screencast.com/t/IY0BxfSrQjpZ The same thing happened when I tried to save the game: <a href="http://scre
Probably more clear if you had it LMNOPdia. However, I do appreciate the pun.
Noted; sorry for the inconvenience.
I think this is a great idea; only being able to build within isolated cities has been seeming unrealistic to me. My first impression was that this would be like Elemental's incarnation of GalCiv II's Starbases, so from that: I think it might be good if you could build more than just military outposts. Maybe you could also build small trading posts that would add a small bonus to trade income along a given route, or in nearby cities. They could even be like lesser versions
CRASHES: Since Alt-Tab doesn't seem to work for me (the game stays on a black screen when I try to return to it), I thought I would put the game into windowed mode. I unchecked "Fullscreen" and restarted the game as prompted. When I reached the main menu, however, the game shut down after a second for no apparent reason. (I didn't snag the debug files for this one (sorry, lapse of judgment), but it didn't happen again when I reloaded th
Contrary to the Beta 1A notes saying the problem was fixed, I still can't get back to the game from alt-tab. Unlike before, when I had the common blank-cloth-map problem, however, I don't get anything now—just a blank black screen. Also, on the cloth map UI where Income is displayed (which is awesome, makes economy management much easier) , new values don't update until I click on the map. If I advance five turns, the tax value will stay the same until I cli
This might be premature, but if the rough descriptions of kingdoms in the Beta reflect the real, fleshed-out versions of the final game, then the Kingdom of Tarth, in my opinion, should start on the coast. The game describes them as being great seafarers, so I found that my Soverign started in the center of the continent to be a bit odd.
