I just updated Star11 to v2.8 and my taskbar and start menu blur and taskbar transparency are gone on Windows 11 Home version 25H2 build 26200.9168. (See thread for entire saga so far.) Haalee says Enhanced Taskbar matters. I've never had it enabled. Most of my Start11 settings are just default.
Loving the customization of this app, but it's current state is essentially not usable for me. Sometimes it will run once, then not again until relaunched. Even though it shows as running in the system tray (and 2 processes in task manager), it stops intercepting alt-tab after: - waking from sleep - dismissing the screensaver / waking the screen after it was idle - sometimes after restart

Hello, Appreciate your interest in Start11 and Fences. You’ve raised some very valid points about the hidden costs of large-scale rollouts, licensing logistics, deployment tooling, and the admin overhead that often outweighs the per-seat price. Those considerations definitely matter when evaluating tools like these. <span style
This seems similar to the problem I reported earlier (reply #16) but with no reply from Stardock. Freezing of up to 15-20 seconds while engaging with the taskbar - in my case this happens with the taskbar on my third monitor, whereas I'm not sure which monitor the problem is with for the post from HeavyHemi (on all monitors or only on some?). I don't understand why the advice from Basj is to "

Perhaps something else is conflicting with Start11, do you have any other application running in the background which also change something in your taskbar, such as DisplayFusion, StartAllback, Windhawk etc? Would like to suggest Testing in Windows Sandbox and see if the issue appear in the Sandbox: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1416855562/Testing+Start+in+Sandbox .&nb
Just following up -- is there going to be a permanent fix for this? I am still regularly forced to restart Explorer every time I swap windows. I've also started seeing (possibly related) AMD driver / graphics crashes. Most importantly, I also noticed that Start11 is printing the taskbar to the screen even when the screen is locked, showing all open windows & their titles. (I do not use tab grouping and all window titles are v
I am still having the same issue with right clicking on the taskbar sometimes (frequently) causes the context menu to freeze. If I'm trying to open task manager for example, it will freeze with that selection highlighted in the context menu and sometimes it's up to 15 or 20 seconds until task manager will open. While the context menu is hung, you can still use the mouse and the Windows key to access the menus. This seems even m

I see this behavior in Thumbnail view, but not in Carousel View. Currently, I believe there is no option for it to turn off that auto select part. I have forwarded your request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We really do appreciate your feedback, Thanks Basj, Stardock Community Assistant.
BUT... I still have the problem illustrated in the attached image. Altering the background color of fences changes the color of EVERYTHING on my desktop.
For this, try disabling this setting. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
