Start 11 Accent color and show desktop

Taskbar color runs through Start11 rather than Windows once the enhanced taskbar is on, which is usually what is behind an accent color not taking. On the Taskbar tab look for "Use automatic color for taskbar". While that is on, Windows personalization picks the color; switch it off and you can set it yourself.

That wording is from the v1 layout, so on v2 it may sit a little differently on the tab, but it is the same setting.

Both of those depend on "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" being on, since that is the master switch for us drawing the taskbar at all. Quick way to confirm it really is on: if the settings are offering you options to hide taskbar buttons, it is.

The show desktop corner is worth testing from the same switch. Turn the enhanced taskbar off for a minute and see whether the corner comes back. If it does, that narrows it to our taskbar rather than something in Windows.
