Goodmorning, Having a general dispell and a gerneral ward spell, is one solution, but it leads to the 'i have to cast this spell on every city, and maintain them' micromanagment, also it doesn't give any fealing that the mages are battling, over the success or failour of the spell, if the spell is stronger then the counter spell, it wins, else it looses. The method i'm propossing is more complicated, but definately allows research improvments. consider you can have a spell that boostes one aspect or another, so extra rock. for example the read mind euqation would be something like pmind% = (read mind mana - read mind defence + spell and artifact bonuses - artifact and spell bonuses) / (spell and artifact bonuses - artifact and spell bonuses + spell strength)*100. Goodmorning all, There are at least three types of +2 swords, Sword + potion of Plus two Sword + spell of Plus two Sword made of +2 native quality. IS anybody else tired of defeating huge armies and seeing thier weaponds and armour laying across the field in the immages.. and then your army just ignoring them and then complaining about needing new gear? Goodmorning everybody, One concern with your channler moving from map to map with all thier skills and abilities intact, would they then have to travel with any unit they granted essence to as well, and what of the essence they fed into the land itself. One option is that in every map you gain hero's or family, or allies, but only a tiny few of them offer to serve you for life. Also i would love to see a 'choose your own adventure' campain

Goodmoring all Most of the reports from Frogboy and company have suggested a 'real time' battle scape with a pause and direct funciton, all units have orders they all act at the same time. But at any time you can stop all the action and give whole new sets of orders to all your troops. In multplayer this may become that the game auto stopps every 7 seconds, and both(all, battle of 5 armies anybody) players can give new orders. or something like that.

Goodmorning all, From what i understand, Stardoc wants to set multiplayer up as Dopplex was stateing. A central repository where you click to activate the mod's you want to play with. and then everybody who joins, sees the list, accepts playing with that list, and when they hit go, the game will autodownload any bits they are missing. This got me thinking though, How do you search this databace? and what about mods that change the underlieing mechanic

I was using the term PC in the sense that it's used in 'the order of the stick' "IF any of you encounter real resistence, retreat, I don't want to see anybody trying to be a PC out there." Goodmorning all. I was thinking of Diablo like caves. where each level of the cave has it's own set of monsters, each just strong enough to keep the next layer down from barging up into the world. In the game each cave would have a set number of levels to it. depth. Which is unknowable till the cave is completely emptied. Goodmorning all, One point i would like to make is that one way to make going Gandalf possible would be to make it so that you can go gandalf and never really fight in any major wars. Goodmorning, AOW:SM had both simunanious and wait forever turns. Heroes of might and magic has Wait forever turns (5 may have Simutanious, i don't know) Moo2 had plan your turn, execute all turns, simutanious play. Dominions is the same way i belive. other TBS i don't know.
