Scoutdog do you mean completed as in basic requirements completed or compleated as in all avalible requirements? To clarify, I envision having 10 or 15 types of units i want to use, A scout unit, a sabatage unit, a few types of tank units, 2 or 3 different styles of archery(long short, magic, other), a calvery type unit,.... At every stage of the game i'll need each . . . but i don't want to have a uniquely named unit for each tech. scout, scout

Goodmorning all Although Denryu is right there is always a way around an iron(wo)man option, having one is easy enough to code and somepeople will want to turn it on. Yes one can always get around ironman mode, and one can always only save before quitting. . . but having an ironman mode also means you can just quit, without having to explicately tell it to save, because you know it's saving on quit. (and possibly after each battle or whenever else). But have it as a st
Goodmorning all just like to say that I understand where you're comming from Denryu perhaps the 90% example was a bit light, The basic idea is that the game should have a non cheat method to do something that some people are going to want to do anyway. I myself am like you, most of the time, i play to play and have fun and take whatever the game gives and try to solder on. But there are other days where i'm not playing for the challange, and if i loose level 18 h
Goodmorning all, Had a thought on RNG and Spells. I think it would be nice to have a Spell that allowed the user to 'test'/'sample' a random event. basically you cast the spell, do an action, see the outcome, and then the action is undone. If you do the same action RIGHT AWAY (before doing any other rand calls) you get the same result. Saving/loading to avoid bad rand's is by some considered cheeting(and for good reason). But sometimes it's semi-legit where
Goodmorning all I was reading https://forums.elementalgame.com/365950 and set my mind a-thinking. ************************ In Brief: Make a Unit, Declare some of the equipment required, if the equipment is not present the unit will not be avalible to build. Declare bonus equipment that unit will auto try to equip, if avalible. When a unit is called to be made, it is build with all the extra bits it c
Goodmorning all, I was thinking more along the lines of equipment being recycled, some of the better equipment would be kept, if compatible, and adiquate in number to use for the troops picking them up, but the basic assumption is that any armour will need to be resized, any weapons would be of a differnt make or handle . . . whatever. Selling loot for money also seams odd to me... who are we selling to? Where is the arms market nobody but your opponents need eno
Goodmornng all Re the arena mode. It may be benificial to have all the units collecred and randomly given to 4 teams, each of the four teams battle [PC's controlling thier units, AI's controling all non PC units, if desirable]. during the battle hero's are scored by how well they preform, how much dammage they do, how much healing they do. Then re-randomize the teams second or third rounds of fighting. Then take the top 4 or 8 heros and then 1vs 1 ladder th
Ya i found that page, the stats page, but it didn't have a driver link. I didn't find the driver link for http://ati.amd.com/products/MobilityRadeonx300/index.html either. Thank you again everybody.
Thanks guys, Still no luck All three versions, 9.7 9.8 and 9.9 of that type of drivers package all give me the same error " Setup did not find a diver compatible with your current hardware or operating system Setup will now exit " Is it possible that dubug.err is wrong about what type of chipset i've got? The AMD site has no driver link for ATI Radeon Xpress Series (0x5975) or 1150 series. anywhere, the only mention
Goodmorning, Thanks for the link, unfortunately that one also didn't work. could debug.err be miss detecting my graphics card? something tells me that my 2006 drivers are just too old. becuase vrs 2 of the game, and it still crashes the moment it tries to launch the clothmap which makes frogboys promice that the beta will be dull very true indeed. Thanks again.
Anybody know where ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 drivers can be found for XP home systems, A google search bought up the AMD homepage (and others), but none of the drivers i found on that site suggested they worked for Xpress 1150's. I tried the following, but the install file ran, then crapped out claiming it couldn't find hardware to drive. http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.6&lang=English <br
Goodmorning all Does the Beta Auto-update itself? Or do I have to wait till the next major reliece before I'll get a beta that doesn't crash before i see the cloth map? Just curious's all Robbie Price

Goodmorning all
I go along with the mountain peaks if they have a value other than a natual block. I dont like peaks becasue it removed a tile from a game. Normaly its a dead square, hex, etc... no production or value. I rather have an army fortify a square than a dead tile.
while this is true, Mountains are often dead tiles, this doesn't NEED to be the case, infact moutains a
Goodmorning all, Yup, it lets in a bit of statagie, The first level is hard to kill only for a very low level chaneller, or hero small army. but it's mostly benign. However when you clear it you discover what lies benith, which could be out of your league, of if you waited, just enough of a challange again to be good for farming XP off off for a while. If you do nothing too long, somebody in your town, or a wandering hero, will empty the level for you ju
goodmorning all Part of the reason i suggested the multiple cave levels think was so that at the starting game you are never overwhelmed by the spawned monsters. At the start, at best, the monsters would come up out of the cave, Walk to some thing of intest, river, trade route, if they know where yor trade routs are, a forest, an outskirt of a town, whatever, they would steal something petty and retreat back to the cave (only if they take it from a town, or

Goodmorning I tried running the game, started a skirmish, let it auto select oppoentns, hit go, and it said "Creating world" on the splash screen, The bar, which said "Creating world" never started to fill, if it is supposed to. After 15 seconds or so, the splash screen vanished, something not black splashed on the screen for maybe 2 or 3 frames, just long enough for me to regristrar the colour green in my mind. Then the g

Goodmorning all I preordered the game, the beta's out. I opened Stardock Central, My games, Clicked Show Pre-release Versions And nothing??? Am going about this the wrong way? I want to find a unique bug, and contribute before other people spot them all, Take care , Robbie
Goodmorning all, These neutral cities, would span on fertil land, or litterally live off trade profits, shipping in all thier food? Just curious.
Today is always today. Yesterday is always yesterday. And future is always future. So how can you live in the past if it's yesterday and you live in the present that is today and future does never happen because things can only happen in the present? I would have to disagree. If you are standing on the prime meridian at midnight, you're probebly underwater. But assuming you're still alive, and talking to somebody
Goodmorning all
Ideally a "story driven" campaign will be structured in a "reveal the map" kind of way. For example, when the character starts out the campaign only a few dozen miles are showing. Once he finishes the first part of the campaign, the map expands to show the surrounding area thus "scaling up" the campaign (but with what the character has at the end of the first part of it completely intact).
<br
Karma for all of us, Your too kind. I like the idea, but where would this necormancer come from, only channlers have magic, or those they give magic to... so are you thinking of an opposing channler doing it, or it being some sort of neutral state? If so how? The other option is to have the world populated with a small number of channlers, and then a larger number of 0 essence magic users. who do not have and can gain esseance, but w
My thougts where that each layer would have a story reason why it didn't bother going up to the next level, perhaps the level above serves them and they prefer the safty of the lower level, perhaps they are natually deeper dwelling species, perhaps the top layers are herbavors, that occationnally go to the lower layer for water, or something and the lower layer lives off eating those who come down . . . but rarely ventures up because they would be out numbered. <
