I've been a computer repairman in the past and I'm going back to school under the field of network administrator. All my life has been devoted to computer security, and people with attitudes about what they wanna do annoys me, as generally they end up with problems again.

Can you guys find a suitable way to repute my arguments, or does it boil down to 'your a troll'? If you guys want to ignore the harsh reality that is identity theft, then be my guest. I personally don't care if you end up homeless. And after you called me a troll, I won't be giving you money. But please promise me this: When you need your pc repaired and can't do it, go into a computer tech's office and tell them this, and if they say what I say, call them a

Well I suppose if you have $200,000 laying around you don't need credit for a house... And it depends on what IE you have. The question more or less lies in responsibility. Yes, you can get by with an os with holes, but one without makes it alot easier. And you can get viruses while using good os's, just like you can get hit by a car without being on an interstate. But using a fully patched browser is the best thing you can do, esp if you do anything online

Well yes, most things can be purchased, but when it comes to a house or a car, if you don't have good credit today, you'll be spending all your money on gas and living in your parents basement. AT THE VERY LEAST you need good credit to buy those two.

Again, sorry. I do tend to hold alot in, and I guess sometimes it's easier to yell at people you don't know then do something that will be VERY BAD. But I guess you guys don't like it when I do this either eh. Maybe I'll get a punching bad. Or play TF2 when I'm like this.

And yes, I know at least 30% of you are over 18... Sorry for my sarcastic attitude today. I've been dealing alot with troublemaker kids lately. But yes, I meant this is the way of credit.

Bad credit can mean: Can't get new cars Can't buy the house you wanted Can't get the job you wanted Can't get loans with resonable rates Can't get good cc's with good rates Can't get electronics with a down payment, need the money on hand. Pretty much everything that's good will be taken.

Yeah I came out harshly, but sometimes the truth needs to be heard. You don't like being insulted? Fine. I won't. But if you do any form of bill paying, online banking, or even buying online, your identity is in threat. Use a browser or an os with holes, your putting your entire life in danger.

89 Replies 320,066 Views

Okay, say any of you are above 18, and you care about your finances. I know, big words! Then you browse on the wrong browser, to have someone steal your identity. Now it's hard to get a credit card, take out loans, or even get a job. I know, you're living off mommy's salary, but one day things will change. If you get your identity stolen you may as well get hit by a car. So yes, if someone was to make decisions to use OS's with bad leaks, and th

Yes, you can use whatever you want, but just like laying in the middlke of the interstate, using a browser that 'gives' you thousands of trojans make you stupid. It may be your choices, but CHOICES CAN BE SMART OR STUPID. If you don't agree, go stand in the road, get hit by a car, and if ya survive, tell me that wasn't stupid.

People went to firefox only did it because of craptacular ie5 and 6. Same reason people left for IE after nutscrape killed themselves. People who stay with craptacular ff 3.0 instead of ie7 or opera are just as stupid. People who stay fanboys to one internet browser are as stupid as console fanboys.

The pirates took out quite a few production areas, and quite a few fighters. I was losing money fast, had to keep selling techs to small races to get money, and had to cut military spending.

Main issue is, the Thalans had a decent military at the end, better production, and good techs. I didn't feel like getting in another fight, esp. since I had to repel two waves of pirates from the Yar and Dregin collapses.

11 Replies 7,309 Views

It wasn't boring. All the other races fought each other while I made techs, I killed off the drengins, and the Yars, It was either kill the Thalans and become evil or win with tech. In the end I owned 80% of the galaxy.

As a member of technet, I've had the opportunity to read the EULAs of all Microsoft OS's (Well, all their products really) All that happens is that the company liscenses the product from Microsoft. The main issue is, while all the Microsoft EULA states is not to install it on another pc, retail pcs use OS's as a 'pocket padding' type of thing, installing this crap and knowing full well if you try to warez/torrent it, it would be illegal. If you have a retail pc, and a xp

Didn't EA cancel madden 09 for pc and say it's due to 'piracy'? Yes, piracy is an issue. But considering 2 guys put together madden 08 for pc (which they would get back that money in the first 5,000 sales), and everyone hated the crappy ps2 port with no widescreen, maybe a different issue is there? BTW, I wouldn't be too worried about EA buying anyone else for awhile. They've lost 100 million or more for each of the past 4 fiscal quarters. They've lost close to a bil

You do know the popular theory that going in time creates an alternate universe of the one your in? That's probably the 'dimension they came from'. The future. If it's an alternate universe, wouldn't it be useless to stop the humans, as all your doing is stopping them in the new universe, even though they destroyed the universe in the old universe? If time travel doesn't create an alternate universe, isn't it useless to stop them, as the space-time continuum would des
as the easiest way to ensure that someone WILL do something, is to tell them they CAN'T.
Which is exactly whats wrong with the entire scenario, as you should by default have the morals to respect other people, and not be some asshole looking to do as you please. I would expect kids to grow out of the rebellious attitude by college, not to keep it up! But then, in the 50's, kids were spanked, were told what to do, and listened. Our lovely hippies who let them do

At $349 I can easily put together a 3870 core 2 duo system wth more ram and bigger hdd then a 360 (Just gotta skimp on keyboard, mouse, fancy looking cases, etc). It would perform better then a 360 in most instances, even with the triple core proc. Could even pay a tad more to include a 4850. The pc obviously doesn't include a screen, as neither does the 360. Anyone who thinks you pay more for a pc should honestly look at all their flashing lights and realize; that's
