Down from #1 to #7 on Amazon.com in less then 1 week. Not even Doom 3 or Matrix Reloaded dropped this fast. The same game (Star Wars Force Unleashed) is beating it twice now, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/videogames/ref=pd_dp_ts_vg_1

To put it bluntly, a casual player would buy maybe one game a year. And they would buy a game that would last a long time. The Sims 2 was a huge success because they could buy it, start a family, and play forever. A casual gamer isn't as stupid as you think. A game like bejeweled 2 or Peggle would be more exciting and longer lasting then Spore.

[quote who="Aractain" reply="12" id="1877143"] Quoting TheDarkKnight2008, reply 10 Once word gets around about a product, kiss your ass goodbye. People were fooled for a while about Starforce, just like they were fooled about Secu-rom. But, the word is out now. Errr, Spore is directly target at casual players (people with less mind than sims players) to get more money (you know, rather than have a brilliant g

The main issue with all of this is companies who look only to the next quarter, for the quick buck. EA isn't looking at how customer outrage will effect them 5 years from now; neither are you guys. Look at our airline business. It's suffering mainly because we still use gas guzzling wd-80s. The airlines didn't think to the future, and now are going out of business. It's not a question of if, but WHEN this effects EA. The richest people in the world st

Ea is not an equivelent to Microsoft. Microsoft does NOT limit you to installing only 3 times, just on 1 pc. If you call them up years later to reinstall Xp they'll do it. EA =ENRON.

Since I can't edit, over 2 and a half years ago I got this pc, the e6400, 2 gigs ram (ram was $240 back them for 2 gigs of ddr800 ram :X), and a x1900xt 512. All I've done is add 2 gigs more ram (Prices are amazing now, why the hell not?) and added an 8800gts 640. I can play everything perfectly except crysis. If new games start giving me hickups, I dunno. This system cost me $1000 (Updated the components only). I'm hesitant to see if I should just get a 48

If your pc runs Crysis, it'll run Far Cry 2 [e digicons][/e] My pc is over two years old, and 1 year old since I bought a video card, and it's seriously the best pc I've ever had... e6400, 4 gigs ddr 1000 ram (overclocked ddr800 to 1000), and a 8800gts640. Runs crysis at 15-20 fps at ultra high, but I hate 15-20 fps so somethings are sacrificed. Left 4 Dead is a no brainer... Been watching the game for months. Far Cry 2 is already preordered on

Well...... I'll suck it up. You guys aren't stupid. I am. I meant to say this concerning browers and somewhere along the lines of saying it, I fucked it all up.

I use all three. I've been talking about safe UPDATED browsers, not FF in perticular. I truly HATE people who come in on Xp using admin and use IE 6, and have never updated them >_ If you read back I actually bashed FF 3.0, and it's mainly due to it being a memory hog. I guess this didn't come across well, and I admit I've been too aggitated to make it come across well, but I simply mean updated browsers.

And one final thing: If you truly want to be safe, it doesn't start with just a browser. You SHOULD visit safe sites, but no one does that. So you need protection. Nod32 for viruses A good firewall (I don't have a favorite) A good spyware finder (I definately suggest spysweeper) A rootkit finder (Rootkitreveler) Cache cleaner (Ccleaner) And a registry cleaner (Hijackthis is a good one) These SHOULD be run once a week.

All that people who secure pcs want is people to stop making foolish choices. I guess if you want to give us money, go right ahead, but it's annoying to say the least. I suppose if I told you to get nod 32, a good firewall that blocks incoming and outgoing, run in user mode not admin, and don't download porn you'd have the same attitude? I suppose if I told you to run in Vista's 'Sudo' equivelent, UAC, you'd tell me to screw off? Whatever. This is why peopl
