1. At one point I had 3 NPC (heros) who had the prestige ability. It says gives +1 to cities. I noticed that the cities still only had 1 and 2 so I thought I had to station the units in the cities. Still no change. Is this a bug or am I missing something. Also, do you have to station the heros in cities or are their effects global?
I think I remember hearing that the prestige abilities have a slight bug, but it should work on your
This post just remined me about an encounter I had last night. I just recruted a 2nd Level Hero Farmer and next to him was a Shrill Lord. So Farmer Brown (this is what I named him) was attacked by the Shrill Lord before I could move him. When the TB screen came up I clicked on the Shrill lord to see what I was facing and to my suprise he was a 60th level creature with over 33,000 Attack and 29,000 Defense. Now the

Which means there's a lot of fine detail work and whatnot associated with it, as well as some questions I have on the process which is slowing me down. Next map I make will be smaller, at least until I get the hang of it. Hey Everyone, Through this post , i learned that you can edit the Sovereign's XP, so he gains more levels quicker through the xml file called ElementalDef (I'm also assuming "Combat to XPmultiplier" is the field I'm concerned with there, just changed it from 1 to 3 as a test) However, i was wondering, since this can be done for Sovereigns, what about your Champions? Is there another XML file that deals with t

Not sure what's up, or if anyone else is having this same problem, but everytime I try to download the 1.3 version, it gets timed out.. Any chance for a re-upload or something? 1.04 works fine, it's just 1.03. Edit: looks like the download finally kicked, but boy did it take a lot of tries, so I guess it should be all good now :) thanks,
I've only seen an upgraded road once and it was during the campaign between two cities only 5 tiles apart.
Yea, I totally hate that, in my game, which is luckily very stable for it going almost close to the 300 turn mark (knocks on wood) it sickens me to see these poorly designed roads, especially since I have about 10 cities or so, at Level 4 and 1 at level 5. (Got about 22 settlements overall, and I'm not even the high

From the description it looks like you did everything right, especially downloading it from the mod library, so it will automatically put it to right place, so not sure what's up here. I would probably suggest posting your problem in the Support Forum instead as they may be able to assist you better.
Looks insane But i only checked it in the map editor, almost no resources? Or do resources and other stuff spawn randomly automatically upon running a new game on any map? If so, cool
Vets can probably answer this question better then me, but I'm almost 90% positive you'll get stuff to randomly spawn as that's the way the seeds are usually set up.
@mp8481: This adds armour to the sets described as "Amarian" inside the corearmor.xml file. These armours are usable by all the races of men (the Kingdoms) and any empire that uses Wraith as it's people (the armour sets are only for the slimmer human shaped races but are available to both Kingdoms and Empires) This should work with Barranoids mod, as they add in different items, with different internal names. &

Downloading now as well, but is this compatible with that Barranoid mod which puts some old armor back into the game that didn't make it come release? Also, if I read the description right, are these armors only available for the Amarian race?, just want to clarify if possible to see if it can be available for the other races too. ke

Hey Everyone, OK, minorly venting my frustration here on that system, it seems I finally figured out what Morale is, the lower morale you have, the more likely i think you will lose Action Points, and turns for that matter. This is heavily noticeable when you go up against the Capitar sovereign who has a decrease in morale for its enemies as one of his traits. I just had a battle, where I was literally helpless for almost 10 turns, if not more (As after the 11th, I just auto-resolved

EG.. elemental/mods/bugfixes (then put all your bugfixes in there, and will it pick up those files still?) thanks again and keep up the great work :)

Reply to Fog of War in WOM Mods

I think, something better, would be if you can remove the Fog of War just within your Zone of influence. Personally, I don't mind the FoW, as it's realistic, you shouldn't see everything in the world and all. But, within your own Zone of Influence, I think you should, as it's like you had scouts surrounding your territory which is perfectly good explanation, maybe with time this can become moddable.

Hey All, This has been mentioned before, but it's sort of lost in the threads I think, so thought I'd reaffirm this, to the people that are having major problems with their champions being under-powered compared to squads, companies, etc.. It's not perfect, but it helps, the key word here is "Jewelry" I noticed, you can put on as much jewelry without any limitations, and while it may be expenesive towards the end, money shouldn't really matter as much mid-late game anyway, so t

The best suggestion I can give is play those custom maps, as I've stated in the past, Froboy's "RealBigMap" is a pretty cool map as the majority of the time your left alone, in my current game, it took me over 150 turns actually find a faction, and that was only because they built in a area that I thought was blocked off by mountains (go figure, as I take a closer look, I noticed the tiles at the little side of the mountain, bah..) And I actually discovered my 2nd race around turn 180

Granted, It's still less then a week, so I'm sure perfectionist out there are still working on their maps, but overall I'm surprised we haven't seen any posted at all. I checked the mod library and it's pretty much still the same ones that were posted back on Monday, so I guess the question is, does anyone happen to have awesome huge maps they would like to share with the community?

12 Replies 8,300 Views

You may also want to look into the map that Frogboy created called "RealBigMap", you can download it easily from in the game by checking the mod library, it has about 400 or so downloads. Anyhow, it seems, with this map, 90% of the time, I usually start alone in my little area, which is awesome for me to build up, and continue to learn the game, but at the same time, give the AI more time to build, so that in the hopes the late game will be truly epic, but we shall see.

lol, ok figured as much, yep, I understand it's a risk, but I'm also hoping for a better reward in end as if the Wife levels up as much as yourself, then your children should techinally have even better stats no matter which gender they are, at least that's that the thought which I'm going to try in my next game. thanks,

Hey All, Another newbish like question, so forgive me, but Children, I'm aware that once you're married, and you send your Wife back to town, eventually she'll produce children, however, is that the only way? For example, I was thinking of a making an awesome party of a husband-wife combo, so they will be constantly leveling, but will the wife be able to have children while traveling, or it's only possible while in the Town? (Which is the other thing I find ironic, since she's
no, you should put them in the main folder usually : "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Elemental\Mods"
Ok thanks, that's what i did, a shame it doesn't work on saved games, as i still see the old effects, luckily though it's time for me to start a new game on my main computer, instead of laptop, so I'll be able to take advantage of this mod. :)
