Windows XP SP3 32bit, 2gb RAM and NVidia 9600GT Graphics card. Q6600 processor (dual boot machine I use with Win 7 and XP, I use fences on both but the problem is only on my XP OS at the moment). When I start my computer with XP, the C: drive goes crazy, constant drive access slowing down everything else. I used Sysinternals process monitor to track this problem down to Stardock Fences Pro. Fences pro is constantly writing to "C:\Documents and Settings\Bucko\A

You have black dandruff? I think you need to go see a doctor :)
Ok here are two screenshots http://www.flickr.com/photos/32165624@N04/4165434535/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/32165624@N04/4165434387/ Also I notice my Encounter weather widget is displaying the wrong day ! It does that quite often.
With all dreams yes, I'll try and sort a screenshot out (been busy as heck lately with work)
Ah yes, an update sorted it out, even though she promised me she'd updated Mycolors today :) Thanks for your very swift help!
As an Impulse affiliate and Stardock supporter this worries me a great deal. It seems like on some Windows Vista systems, MyColors can stop Windows update from working from the control panel. I've got one friend/customer who can reproduce this issue. When MyColors is disabled, her Windows update works fine, when it's enabled, it fails. It's also been reported in this thread on Microsofts forum <a href="http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/5329d091-4e
Deskscapes 3 is great, I'm running it on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit final release version and an NVidia G-Force 9600GT I'm having trouble with the "Snow" effect though, my snow is black! (not the snow backdrop that seems to work fine, just the effect that let's you put snow on any background) Shouldn't snow be white? It looks more like ash?! It also gets stuck when the snow reaches the bottom of the screen and sometimes crashes explorer. Any ideas?
Sounds like you're having the same problems as me, nothing from Stardock on this?
I'm having so many problems with this software it's crazy. Is it because I am running as non-administrator on Windows Vista (x64)??? I notice that lots of Stardock software does not behave properly in these instances (come on guys how long has Vista been out?!). Here's what I've tried, I applied the Hal 9000 soundpakage from here, https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=160&libid=69 that just
Can confirm not working here on XP, when Deskscapes is enabled you can still see icons but fences disappear and the whole desktop behaves strangely.
Sorting within a fence would be very useful, I second that
BEST DESKTOP ENHANCEMENT EVER!! I love it!
Ah yes that works ( and seems somewhat obvious don't know how I missed it, oh well).
Bump... nobody else experienced this? How frustrating.... I've seen it on at least two machines :(
Since there are still quite a few programs that struggle to run with Windowblinds/Mycolors (e.g SyncBack, Roboform Toolbar).. is there a way to add exceptions in MyColors like there is in Windowblinds? I can't seem to find it if there is...
Morning Stardock users I have posted this before, but then decided it wasn't Windowblinds fault, but after testing things a little more, I am now convinced it is. I use the popular password manager Roboform, which attaches a toolbar to Firefox that lets you easily manage your logins. However if Windowblinds has skinned Firefox, something strange happens. I click on the toolbar to bring up my list of logins and, as I move the mouse over them suddenly the list wil
Thanks can confirm they are working now!
Hi I just signed on as a Stardock Affiliate after reccomending their stuff on my site for a few months. I copied and pasted the affiliate button for Impulse, but instead of getting a button, I get a broken image. Is there a problem with the link? Here is the code I copied and pasted that should have displayed a black button but all I get is the broken image graphic:- <
Why does running IconX make the right click menu that appears when you right click on an icon on the desktop change to something much less useful? Can this behaviour be changed?
I now no longer believe this is a windowblinds issue, sorry
