Thanks, I'll take a look again. I have researched everything. I just assumed that once you create an archery range, archers would be available. After all peasant, pioneer, and caravan types are there by default.
Harkonian
Can't you select all units in a tile by clicking on the shield icon?
I've created an archery range in a number of cities, but there are no archers trainable.
Sorry, no debug err attached. I tried 5 or 6 times to use pastebin.com with both firefox and chrome and it didn't work.
The tech tree for me was very confusing when I first started out. In all the games I've played, availability of items in the tech tree are not based on chance. You upgrade to item 1A so you can get item 2A and then get item 3A. In elemental you upgrade to item 1A and item 1B may not be available 90% of the time, so you are forced to choose item 2B instead and hope that the next time around item 2A will be available. Confusing. I think there needs to be some sort of visual indicator on
It took me a while to realize that some parts of the tech tree being visible is based on chance. In my latest game I was 500 moves in and way up the tech tree before getting an apiary. This could be made clearer to the player.
In the battle results window, scrolling will not work with the mouse wheel if the cursor is positioned over a unit name row. If the cursor is positioned over the unit icon or unit stats or the scroll position inidcator scrolling with the mouse wheel works fine.
I have finished exploring the map of my current game and it doesn't have any ore deposits. It's a single-continent medium map.
If I build something within a city, such as a house, without pressing the "done" button, and then click on a unit outside the city or another city, the build action is fired again. An action within a city should never be fired if the user is clicking outside the city. If the build card is up it should be closed automatically.
I often find myself doing the following Find some loot, such as armor Determine which unit in my group needs the loot Drag the loot to that units icon Click on that units icon and equip or use the loot Move my group toward the next destination OOPS! I forgot that I currently only have a unit selected, not my entire goup Maybe other people don't have this issue? I do it all the time--very annoying.
I think it would be helpful to allow players to arrange the order of units in a group. Being able rearrange the group order by dragging the unit icons around would be perfect. I typically like to have my group ordered by melee fighters, ranged fighters, mages, and other npcs (such as wolves). This allows me to easily know who I should distribute weapons or magical items to without having to mouse over every single unit.
Maybe this is planned but hasn't been implemented yet? Most games of this genre allow you to create a group shortcut key for your units. For example, select a number of units and press ctrl-1 to create a group, then select that group again using the '1' key.
I often move my army to a city to heal and it's a pain to have to manually select all 15 units to be able to move them out again. A shortcut key such as ctrl-a to select all units in a city would be great.
A number of times while zoomed out to the cloth map, the location jumped to a spot hidden by the fog of war in the upper left hand corner of the map. It was a quick jump and not a scroll at my defined scroll speed.
