exactly - there are many things heroes could add to a group exp bonus (training the men) better attack bonus (coordinates the men better) better defence bonus (hold the liiiiine!!) meat shields so a hero nowdoes go poof when a spell is fired on his group (the men bravely leaping up to catch arrows and spells to their faces (lol ok this one doesent make sense but it makes the heroe able to actually survive a round of combat against a channeler - or atleast increase

i would even enjoy that you could circumvent a enemy unit - by walking by it within 1 field - this would make it possible to block of certain points - and force enemy units to attack units on patrol that are in their way.

hey - i was thinking that the various groups you build should have a unit that was the "leader" and without any special commander build to it - they would just be a standard group - but now if you have a hero you could aay - join this group and lead it - and they receive a bonus depending on the leaders level/att/def etc - this would make heroes moresurvivable in the end game where the massive armies are near unkillable with heroes. - but now the heroe - and his loyal guardsmen can take em on

well i alwasy thought of the level bonus to fix a city ontoa specific topic - like a city geared towards gold and trade (hence gildar bonus) or a city that focuses on tech/arcane (the guardian one i always told off as - ok this city spendt time training / capturing stuff and training it . but yes the level option would just make more sense to me if we had more options to pick from in what way we would like to guide the city.

i am having peroblems equipping traveling boots and wayfare cloak on my main character - i made him only have 5 str - so i was pondering that was why ? he seems to be able to wear armor without much problem (though a full plate armor that dropped he couldent wear (and it said so ) so i sudden realised that perhaps the boots and wayfare cloak also made it impossible for him to wear those ??

a dead area - you cant build cities near theses areas or on them. unless you clense the center of it from a (monster/quest/corrupt shard?) im actually liking the idea about a corrupt shard - that when you first encounter them they are guarded by creatures drawn to its energies that also cause havok in the general area - so when you defeat it - and a channeler enters the field he changes it from corrupt - to active (ready to be buildt on) - this makes for interesting
