The orbital terraformer greatly adds to the usefulness of planets since you don't have to build on each tile twice. One time being just to make it useful. You should notice that all tiles are green on every planet now. Colonize a PQ1 and see it turn into a PQ16 - 19. PQ0 stay zero no matter what you do. Only a random event can change it.
just saw a male yoda avatar
I thought that was a female yoda. lmao how would you tell the difference? But i do believe theres a self portrait on page 109... [e digicons]8|[/e]

[e digicons][/e] But point taken. However its really the combination of size color and font that makes it a bit hard to read.
I'm still playing DA 1.80g, I get a few of them on a large map with occasional / abunndant settings. Maybe like 5 -10. Those are really great to get once you go neutral or get the orbital terraformer.
Grassy Ass ! (been brushing up on my spanish)
In Civ 2 I once saw the French with a starting position like that. Not one solid square. One one invaded them though and they were so far behind. It was funny though.
Just wondering if there is a web site that has info on Elemental.
I know it was just a joke. But for the sake of correctness I made the change, so its now a DOB of 3/5/09. Didn't want KP to think he was getting a used character. lol
I did just start him. I had a second character that was never used. I changed its name and added the picture. So, he is brand new. I originally thought maybe i would have a character for doing ZYW's as to not mess with the rating of my original character. But i never got around to doing that. Good catch though with the date.
ITs apparently back now. And I've decided to start a new character based on my favorite cat. I've joined the Kzinti. I hope to post a game with him soon.
I do belive this was before games had ratings. lol
And no one brought up the notourious Syreen ship from Star Control. I mean even the name of this ship....
Thanks for the info. I figured they wouldn't change. But i thinkits just an AI thing that once they choose a tech they can't or just don't change it. This was one of the reasons that Mumblefratz once said a slow tech speed will hurt the AI more than the player. When i realized that they were even touching that brack i made sure i always had the tech they were on. After each tech the would just off that branch. For instance, after Galactic Understanding the went fopr Starbase For
I guess its interesting to see that alot of games people like are also disliked by others. I do have a contender for biggest disappointment, E.T. for the Atari 2600. Download a 2600 emulator and the ROM image for this game and prepare to go INSANE as you get old E.T. out of those pits, again, again and again. And again. But I think its a true contender for top disappointment because of the expectations of not the players but the designers and publishers.
I liked ET. LO

Just for the sake of correcting this thread [e digicons];P[/e] . In the first episode this season the word was spray painted on the wall in a corridor... it was spelled FRACK. Short story: my son who is 5 and doesn't quite read yet and who was immeditely corrected for using such words, told my wife he head the "D" word somewhere, she naturally asked "whats the D word?" he said "holy shit". [e digicons][/e] Sorry just thought that was hilarious. (we just
Ok I'll get it soon. But in DA 1.8g, do AI spies stay on your planets after that race is gone?
This is possibly the biggest case of thread necromacy that I've been a part
LOL You said it.
Just want to know if the AI will ever change the tech they are currently researching. Has anuone ever noticed the AI change before they have the tech? The Drath are a few weeks from a Tech victory. I can beat them to it very easily just by adjusting my slider, but i didn't want a tech victory, especially early in the game. I only left the option on just in case thiongs got real bad in the game and i needed a way out. So if i attack them, is there any chance they will change and start
Oops, I was asking about Dark Avatar, where there are no passive spies. Basically I've never had an AI spy on me for more thana turn, until now. I have about 8 and I assumed it was the Krynn, since i was at war withthem and they are the spy race. However they surrendered to me but the spies are still there. I was just wondering if they are left over Krynn that no one told that their government is dead (when the direct deposit of their pay stops they'll figure somethings wrong)
I consider them archeologists though.
LMAO (or is it LAMO?) A related question: If a race has spies on your planets and that race ceases to exist, do the spies disappear?
