This has to do with development cycles. I am sure there are hordes of bugs that are easily squashed, yet they introduce new bugs, and if you fix 500 bugs, you have to test the 500 bugfixes, and then retest, and test all the basics again, and test some more, and then you release and only THEN you find out you've introduced 50 new bugs. Unless your game has a structure built for constant bugfixes and updates, its not that easy to release hundreds of really small fixes.

Uhu, they're incredible pushovers as an opponent faction. They never seem to last very long, and all they do is mope " Oh the Magnar/Umber/Cookiemonsters are killing us! Can you send us some aid..?" But people are suggesting they are an underpowered faction at start, and its not the faction itself thats the problem, its the handling of that faction that causes the problem. And the AI is very sucky at running them.

Making new and varied units with cool looks to slaughter armies wholesale. Slaughtering anything that moves. Bringing peacefull communism to everyone by doing the slaugther-thingie to them. Unifying, pacifying and developing all the lands after wiping out the previous inhabitants. Casting grossly overpowered magical spells at things to make em explode and die. Yes, there's a theme.

Given undying curse, leather armor and a spear I don't see where the UP early in game lies... you can easily overwhelm anything that's not a 400 HP monster, and you don't need to build units stronger than 3-man size as long as there are still easy, or indeed, any sort of kills around.
They have LH 1.6 in QA presently. Just waiting for their ok. As for Warlock / AOW (both games I like) if you are thinking LH is the same as those, then it was never the game for you. LH is a civ building game in a fantasy world.
Ah sounds good. I can't wait to have another patch... FELE is a very enjoyable game, and I look foward to the DLC. Does it have fluffy duck slippers?</
Quoting Apheirox, reply 5 its the most OP faction in the game. make 4 female warriors (the males are useless since they lack the physical resist) with undying, kill some low lvl monsters until all 4 units have 6 figthers in them, then go on a rampage. You are essentially unstoppable at that point, and will probably kill 2-3 factions before they get chainmail / light plate, which will forc

War of Magic is a strong name. Unfortunately it is tied to a very bad game. Legendary Heroes, which is what i call FE:LE in my mind, is also a strong name, tied to a strong game. I pre-ordered WoM. I seriously regretted it, to the point that I am not going to pre-order GalCiv3 ( yes, unreasonable, because 2, which I played a lot, was fabulous to the extreme). Amends have been made, and they have been extremely, superbly well, and the mistake has been forgiven. But I will not pay twice for the

Dear mr. Woffle99, The cards are part of a commercial campaign that a lot of games participate in, to stimulate the Steam community so the potential amount of customers on steam that will notice the games increases. Stardock participates, as does, for example, Squad, with their Kerbal Space Program, and Betheseda, with Skyrim. I am very glad Stardock participates, and spends some small amount of money on a commercial campaign that encourages people to buy and /or play t

And I'll be getting it... for free. You have kept your word every inch of the way. I tip my hat for you sir Stardock, and most especially Mr. Brad Wardell. You have made good on your word, and many a coorporate buisnessman should take a good long hard look in the mirror, right after they've put up a life-size poster of you next to that mirror. Love, Barry

I claimed a free copy. I finally had some actual time to play this week. *hands over his soul to Frogboy* A deal is a deal. Thanks. Now give me extraordinary large maps, and more magical research.

Awesome news. They only host games that can be modded and are excellent games. Of course we already knew that FE falls into that category, but this is a great pat on Stardock's back.

The fertility desctruction is irksome at best, pointless at worst. Especially given the fact that having more cities means you loose population growth... you will want to re-use ground in the best possible way. Combined with the 50-25% unrest problem, razing is almost a requirement, except it leaves the very earth you wanted to revice barren. Doenst feel right to me.

Yeah, like if one marches an army of cheap stuff to enemy territory and then explodes it into 9 smaller units to destroy all resource buildings.. *grins*
You cannot expect things to work across versions. I always start a new game when I have downloaded an update. They change a lot of small stuff each version.
In case you failed to notice, I'm not really bothered by this, but found it amusing. Normally I reboot too, but I was in such an interesting position in that game I wanted to continue. Of course, being at war and all, my position just got more interesting. I li

Oddly enough in vanilla I ran into things like "Chosen" decked out in all sorts of magical gear. OF course, two units of chosen without caster support still die rather easily against a horde of archers, but I got hit, once, by a unit, and it did 330! damage to my archers. Who then promptly died. But on the whole I agree Sean... wages are killing decent sized armies and wars. I tend to really focus on my designs... if its not a front line battle thingie, i

Fair - Units are still somewhat underwhelming. - Champions are still somewhat overwhelming - Research is still a tad... how can I put this? I see some interesting stuff in the trees, but since units are underwhelming, I do not find it very neccesary to rush up the trees to get at those things. As for city management, empire complexity and all: Meh. I'm here to build massive armies and slaughter my opponents massive armies. C

I miss the ability on my mages to cast an actual spell, apart from their ranged magical attack.
