This has probably already been said but, dude, RUN away not teleport away. Game I just played, 3 v 3, UB was on the other side and he and TB ran me down twice - stun, frost and mass attack. So what did I do? I adjusted tactics, ensured I was always part of the team and ended up getting more kills on them than they did on me. Btw I was playing as reg, it should be noted he is very weak and vulnerable to mele. Again quite obvious, but thought I should add it just incase.

I thought this thread was going to be another rant about DG and why they should do things YOUR way. Funnily enough I agreed with every point except 5, as I think items need balancing first before adding more.
Here's my take on the 4 generals: Oak is all round solid, maybe a tiny bit weak to start with. Seems to have decent DPS and staying power. Decent support. QoT is a superb support DG. Hang back, shield your allies and do LR damage. Wont get many kills but can turn a game. Sedna is a fast tank with a trade off in DPS. Also superb support. Erebus is a strange one as mid game he feels like the assassin of assassins. Paper thin, yet the most fun a
Don't get me started balance, the QoT, one of them is bad enough! Imagine running into several of them at once
Quoting Ron Lugge, reply 21 More like he's irrational on the subject. It's a very minor bug, but he's blowing it far out of proportion because it's the bug he's decided to hate. You're just... wow. There's no point in trying to explain anything to you guys. You are so stuck in the "man, they're working on it!", "come on, cut them some slack!" and "dude, the connection issues are much worse than your issues" that
Okay, this may be really interesting for a lot of people or no people, it depends how stupid I am being. On the map prison, who is that demon looking thing under the floor? I ask because a few days ago, I swear it was not there (or wasn't noticed). Then in an interview, the lead designer says that one of the new Demigods is already in the current release but didn't say where. Is that demon in the prison a new DG or pretty design art that I should have noticed from day one? [e digicon
I'm from the UK and it cost me £27 through Impulse after the exchange rate etc. Pretty good value for money.
I got on and wondered what the heck was going on. No games online, skirmish sets me up with 7 ai. Trying to go back now although I'm just worried about losing achievments lol.
I am slightly confused, why would multicast traffic be needed? Is the reason why the SPI firewall needs to be shut off because OTHER people who do not have ports forwarded might then fail the NAT redirect to you even if you have the right ports open? A complete answer to the SPI firewall thing would be really appreciated. Edit: didn't see Dest's post before I posted. Seems to answer my important question lol.
That was a great read!
All sounds great, superb suport again. About the demo, if you are insistant on making it an online demo: make it skirmish only and have two ways of setting it up. Either the demo player creates a game in which case all can join OR if a paying customer sets up a skirmish game they have the option of letting demo players see it or not (and so join). This way, those of us who are interested in playing with new players and trying to help them can and those who dont want to play against de
DG has lots going for it: Diversity of DG's, playstyles, item combinations, strategies etc Simple to pick up, hard to master Pretty graphics yet runs super smooth (no one really mentions that do they?) Great levels of support and communication from SD Gameplay is fast, fun and so far has not got boring (personal pref obviously) Now there is probably more and obviously some against it. So no DG is not the most, perfec
Achievments are STILL broken. I am starting to lose a bit of patience with this issue. 2 online games, both give me an award for being an initiate. When I go to achievments, it shows all my single player achievments except the initiate achievment is now gone lol.
I often pirate games, applications, movies and music. Yet I have five full purchases ready to play on Impulse, Windows XP on this machine is legit, I go to the movies to see quality movies and (oh wait) yeah I don't buy music anymore. Still, 3 out of 4 isn't bad. The thing is, I can't stand to hand over money where money isn't due. The issue with a lot of entertainment is that you don't know whats worth it, until you have tried it. Do you buy a car without trying it?
I'm not going to say too much other than favour is really important to sort out right now. Connectivity is loads better since release and no doubt will get even better.
Some very useful stuff here. A lot I have eventually figured out on my own by getting a lot of losses under my belt. Still some things I didn't realise, so please keep the tips comming [e digicons][/e]
I've had a LOT of success with custom games recently, although the odd drop out and quitter can be a pain. Even skirmish works (now and again).
Can anyone tell me where i can download .exe version of a new patch? direct link pls.
I recomend you go out and buy the game. There's going to be lots of new stuff delivered through impulse and I don't think that the pirated versions are going to have access (lets hope anyways).
Well, some improvment for me. Custom game's running pretty good but selecting skirmish just doesn't bring much joy. Either way, I am pretty happy. 5 minutes or so to wait for a custom game to be made and everyone join. Loads first time, no drops, followed by a 30 minute battle. I suspect it's going to be a while before skirmish or patheon works right. Especially if they are still trying to randomly connect people from America, Europe and Russia into the same match. If they do
Same scenario for me. Getting the hang of playing online now (when it works) but hard tournaments are well, hard. Going to go for total focus on the citadel upgrades now, see if that helps.
I noticed those two were very very hard to kill as well. Sedna's heal is insane and she feels like a tougher tank than Rook. I expect though that there is a good counter to this, I just haven't found it yet.
Just had a wonderful Custom game at a second attempt. No lag, everything went well. Awsome fun. Prior to that, I made 5 failed attemps to join Patheon games. Not so good. I'm not giving up on Demigod, far from it, the buzz from a plan comming together in this quick enviornment is brilliant. Also, getting a kicking is not so bad as the game is usualy over quickly anyway.
Awsome. This is largely the reason why I bought this game despite the luke-warm reviews.
Hi all, I'm a huge fan of Stardock and have loved Sins, GalCiv and now am enjoying Demigod. Now I've got that out of the way, I am having a bit of a problem with Demigod. You see, I can accept that the launch and netcode has been botched a bit, I expect it will get fixed and have total faith in one of the few shining lights of
