It would be cool to research a super weapon aka Death Star 1 or 2 like, or the 3rd version which could blow up a star (cant remember the name). That would be cool, if balanced out and implemented well. Or it could be even more fun to have a scorched earth option for colonies you take over, so you can make it uninhabitable for however long. Terror stars sound cool though, whatever they are <im

I cant comment on 1.2, because I've been playing the beta mostly. In a few games, I suddenly found that although I had slightly better weapon tech, almost everyone had jumped ahead of me with larger hulls. By the time I got to larger hulls they were on the biggest! Perhaps it was the way I had things setup though. The computer started off with 3 AI's in good positions, and me stuck between 2. There were 4 AI's so I decided to take out as quickly as possible, the one stuck right in the c
Registered on that site, looks cool, dont delete my account please. Still cant edit my posts!
Oh, they don't look all that like city lights, to be honest *cough*, erm sorry, anyway *red faced a bit*. Thanks for resolving that, although unforunately, I have just reinstalled and am updating to 1.2. Considering how slick most things look, I am slightly dissapointed, but hey you can't have it all. I figure Master U's mod will take the pain away, as it does look great.
Each time someone came with "the AI is cheating" and someone knwoledgeable came to answer, well... it was not. From a certain difficulty level, the AI gets bonus even if it's not free ships/techs (it still needs to get them). Look, everytime I lose the AI is cheating, ok? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Yum.gif" border=0 ALI
Okiley dokiley, reinstalling completely is fine - although I did try a repair earlier on - to no effect. I'm curious as how to get you my email address, without posting it in the forums (a no no). Although actually clicking on those images, in the new address bar, the entire bit after .pwp. for the suffix. The prefix is angryandroid at... I just don't like posting my email due to webpage scanners by spammers. You seem smart so figuring that out should be a piece of cake <img src="http:
Whats a blank hyper drive and blank ultra support? Is that the computer cheating to get all that stuff on there? Shame on them if so!
Hmm, another weird error, this time posting. "Sorry this post has been removed". Anyway. Master U, do you need a cloud map pack period to see clouds or should I have them anyway? And yes, I'd love to have a chance to run with those nice high-res clouds. Thanks. What about lights? I want my lights!
Hmm weird, won't let me edit my post, "access denied". Well, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure, or not as the case may be. Obviously, a normal looking planet. Is this right? The view from the general map. The dark side of my home planet as the game starts. Notice the irregular cloud type shapes? Bizzar.<br/
That didn't work either, turned from 25 down to 0. I zoomed right in, on the dark side. And there were just those little bits of clouds flying around. Thats on the starting planet of 5 billion.
I have pixel shader 3 support I think. So I don't have a clue why I have never seen these lights. I saw the option to disable them, it's not ticked. This is annoying!
You're not wrong, something is very very wrong with this beta. I never had a crash with 1.2 or previous betas.
Well, I noticed I do have clouds, but they seem to be corrupted edges of clouds or something. I'm not entirely sure, there's something there. For the record, here is my debug file copy pasted: Debug Message: Version v1.3 beta 3X last updated on: Wed Aug 30 19:23:43 2006 Debug Message: GalCiv2 is activated. Debug Message: Checking DX Version
I have all settings completely maxed out everywhere. That includes Anti-Aliasing to 6X and Anisotropic Filtering to 16X. There are NO city lights and possibly a few clouds. I've never seen a single city light.
That really doesn't help (although it looks nice), seeing as I dont know how when where or why. To get clouds and lights do you need to do something other than just turn on an option?
Whats all the talk about clouds and planet lights etc? I haven't seen any, ever! Hopefully its not a really obvious game option that I missed.
Oh goodie, I hate buying stuff from the shop. And currently, $25 will be more like £13 That's what you call a reasonably priced expansion, then again I only paid £20 for the full game.
I can't wait to see the entire thing. Whats the ETA on it?
And there's always "luck" to consider. Playing on the latest beta as of today (along with several severe crashes requiring a reboot), just as I was finishing off the last computer opponant, he sneaks in and recaptures one of his recently "liberated" planets. Much to my disgust I decide to take it right back, but oooh no: On this planet they just retook, they discover some of those recurser ships. The thing is, there was over a hundred of them! So they are on the planet for most of the g
That's actually pretty funny! But you still get a middle finger. I'll say it again... I don't MIND entering my serial. I would just rather have my disk in the drive than be REQUIRED to own an internet connection whenever I reinstall. I archive my stuff for a reason. Aww, I'm hurt. See, the thing is - this is one of the nicest setups I've
Yup, thankfully. I'm starting to not want to play the game without it, ever.
Well, I got born and everyone fed me it was great. Then, eventually, I grew up and what do you know, I have to not only eat food 3 times a day, but I got to get it myself? What the hell is up with that? I really feel sorry for the OP, life is so hard man
Recent game Im playing with terrans set to Intelligent, they just went to town on me. I changed primary weapon techs half way through when I realise everyone else was using laser type technology and defences. Then somehow they had the biggest hulls while I was still on medium. It was not pretty. So to answer your question, if you set them manually, they are fine. If you let the game set their rating with an overall rating, almost any race can be completely retarded. I didn't realise th
I've got 2 bugs to report, from 1.3. Firstly, when comparing civilisations to each other (in civ manager), my bars are all completely flat at the bottom. Secondly, a pirate ship spawned right on top of a planet. This meant, I couldnt launch any ships from that planet until it moved (several weeks later). I'd click on the planet once and get the fleet manager thing at the bottom, with a pirate ship and the planet. This was annoying lol. AI ships flooded around that planet to ki
With the whole thing about AI priority with sensors and performace - it would be really great for an option to have them prioritise them more and use them. As an option, people with old people wouldn't have to worry - but for people with good rigs it could be a viable option. I mean, I'm running an overclocked Conroe E6600 with 2gigs of memory, I want all options added in please
