I was thinking that staves should reduce Initiative and daggers should not effect Initiative at all. The reason to hold a staff would be to benefit from a bonus to spell damage, spell mastery, and spell resistance. This would add some nice differentiation choices to mages.
Great idea! Additionally: If there were more multi-turn charging spells in the game (beyond the 1 turn versions) staves

Creating a custom Faction: When in strengths tab if you select an attribute other descriptions don't appear until you go to another tab and come back. Also, Legacy of Serrane, which effects caravans, should be removed as there are no caravans.
its up now!!!
Its almost closing time. Is the Elemental team going to work a little OT? I understand there might be 8in of snow tomorrow stopping them from making it in. Maybe they get the day off tomorrow if they can get the game out tonight? :)
A spell to give mages access to new elements would be a great late game option. One of those extremely expensive spells.
Has there been any discussion regarding multi-element spells?
Guess I just didn't tinker around in the interface enough. I found how to customize a faction. Keep reading about custom factions. Am i missing something? Where is it that I can customize my faction? Is this different from customizing my sovereign?
I was wrong. Alchemy is fine. My Gold indicator was red. I didn't realize that only meant that I was losing gold. I am very sorry if this took any time away from improving the game.
Whence casting Alchemy both your MANA & your GOLD is REDUCED BY 100. At least this is the case if you have negative gold.
Haven't read the debate on Amazon, but what do political views have to do with a book or game? Unless you run your company like a dictator, why would politics come into any discussion? Eh. I've worked for people across the political spectrum and never found it to be an issue when doing business. People are weird in their reviews. That is the flaw with the review system of many sites. You can have a group a reviews that have nothing to do with the product and they bring you down.
I really think there should be Traits linked to equipment. Then a Trait like "BladeMaster" could become available.
I am guessing it will drop at 10pm (EST) on the nose? Anyone else? edit: so much for me reading earlier posts....
What if my credit card number has changed since my pre-order last year?
You guys don't want to know what we gave up (financially) to be able to give out the bonus quests to all users after 90 days.
For this I will be buying your book! Thank you for your initial sacrifice.
Yes. You will all get the same stuff at some point later on. Best Buy and Walmart paid for additional content to be made (just like Random House did for the book). But in the case of the retailers, it was agreed that all content that was made for them would be able to be given out to all players within 90 days.
I am not clear on something. The "retailers" agreed to ma
Whenever. I woke up this morning and thought; "Wow I might be getting EWoM early." Then I realized I had crap tons of stuff to get done before work on Monday. :(
Have similar issue. Starts when I place a town and shapes change as the town influence expands.

At least it will be easy to tell if we are alive!!!
I am going to be very very optimistic and call it the 11th.
Though you said maintenance cost you didn't include spell cost. Such as Mana type and amount and Essence cost. See " Dangerous Magic " post for futher ideas on essence cost.
Point taken. Maybe I would just burn you and your army (my former army) to ash by raising a volcano under you. However, you might posion me (getting into assasinations and that can of worms)..... I guess we'll have to see how they implement these ideas.
I don't understand the heir argument - It has not even been outlined that anyone is even designated as your heir. I still hope that when your chenneler dies, you lose.
I completely agree, and at no point was I refering to you dying and having your "heir" take over. You are immortal. If you die you lose. Though I am still wondering if imbueing your essence will make "heroes" live longer.
To summarize - designating the heir should be the job
