On your point 1. you mean merging the sovereign or hero with a unit of troops? If so i would like to see that too (like Warhammer boardgame).

I disagree too. I prefer more race specific traits and more versions of weapons and armor in more stages of the game. For example i wanted to make my Ythril only use axes but there is only one version of one-handed axe and one magic one-handed. And if i wanted to make a heavy hitting unit using a sword there is simply no sword at all at early stages, but only the last weapon tech (if i remember correct)

A bit more variety would be nice on the graphics part at least. I have to agree that the light plate seems like a bucket. Those pics you posted are a nice sample would love to see something like that in the future, meaning an armor with some decoration [e digicons]:D[/e]
A bit more variety in the early stages would be welcomed. Early units are a bit blunt (leather armor and spear or club with shield). Also i believe the 2 handed verions of weapons should really make a difference and and be sooner available (with less damage and get upgraded as you research more techs). And one last thing, give the axes some more love [e digicons]>:([/e]
Loading and starting a new game happens goes with 1.01 and generally the game is pretty stable on my machine both on 1.0 and 1.01. I havent got a crash at all.
No way. I love the custom unit design where i can make a unit exactly as i have it in mind.
So far they are my favorite. Give us some snowy terrain now or mountain.

I havent tried all races so far but my favourite for now is Umber. I love their "Dwarf" style of massive armors, big hammers and long beards [e digicons]:grin:[/e] . On my last games i used to make units named after Warhammer Dwarfs. If any DLC comes out i would love to see more armor and weapon desings too.
I am not against DLC's but simple map pack cant say that i like it. At least make it like some other people above mentioned, make it a battle enhancement DLC (since battles right do need some love) with some maps included. As someone else above said if there is a hand made map make that original of the Elemental with specific starting positions. P.S. I played a game with Gilden a couple days ago and my first thought was to make him melee and try some different paths. I went path of the warrior and in then i started picking traits that buffed the army and his damage with hammers. The army i had (dont remember the lvl of the troops) was epic in power and wasnt using any golems or elementals or dragons. So from the little experience i had i believe a melee char can do just fine as a mage.
Already in love with most the ideas. I ll try Capitar with wealthy and tactician.

I haven't experienced the insta-build yet but what i noticed so far is that the AI seems to know where all the resources are going straight for them and yesterday on my game with Gilden (not custom race, still learning the game) i meet Karavox, i have 4 cities he got 1 and i have about 1000 gildars and he got more that 10.000 with just one town [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
Altar faction can "build" them with the necessary tech but except those stationary in the map i havent seen anyone else either. Also keep in mind that there is champions outside with higher levels that need to research a technology before you can hire them.
I couldnt read all this wall of flame in that site. The only thing i realised is that people want easy, fast pased, non complex games that ends in a max of 30 hours. I like the new Kings Bounty series, havent played the latest one Warriors of the North though. The cartoonish style is nice for it, but yeah its true i am kinda bored of cartoonish graphics in most games. The oil paint style of FE its something different and cool but cartoon graphics sometimes ruin the games. I remember when i heard that Sid Meier is making a remake of Pirates and then i saw those cartoonish graphs. Well i liked the game but i prefered the art of the old Pirates!Gold. Hope if

Well something that i wanted to see in a mod is the Sovereign or Henchmen or other hero units to be able to join units giving them specific bonuses. I find it more realistic to join units than standing alone in the battlefield attacking large enemy formations. Dont know if thats possible though [e digicons]
Personally i dont care about multiplayer i rarelly play multiplayer games due to lack of time but dynasties is something i am gonna miss in the game. Buts its a Stardock game i am sure modders will come up with something [e digicons]:dur:[/e] If not it will come in an expansion.

I am trying the game too. Its fun but the new action system is kinda restrictive. In the original series i could stand still and start shooting the aliens that was coming to my ambush spot but with the new one i can only shoot once. Generally thats not necessary bad, i just need to adapt to the new play style but what really annoys me in the game is that barely make any crit shot and some times miss the target with one tile distance and 95% to hit, while the aliens have the habbit to hit
Especially for empire building games navy and coastal citys are a must. And yes i have to agree that in all human history citys with ports used to be extremely wealthy. Why not in Elemental too?
