I got the problems with raise swamp and summon fire giant. The turn I got the needed shards I couldn't cast the spell. I deselect/reselect sov but didn't work. It's only a few turns later that I could really cast those spells. Don't know why I finally could.

About shards, I got an idea : why not creating a pool of consumable ? Each turn you get 1 shard point (maybe some buildings could give you some more) and you can always use the a shard point as a joker for needed shards. But .. it would be too easy ! Yep ... but if you add the following rules : each tim eyou use a shard point, then the next cost is 1 more. So the second time you need an earth shard to cast a spell and don't have it, it will cost you 2 shard points. 3rd time ? 3 shard
The game "need" some time before you can use your spells. Often you have the resources, but have to wait a turn or two to be able to cast the spell. Don't know why.

... and with blind war expansion. You just can't go to war without thinking before of the future upkeep.
Good news :) Thanks
You should have pictures of sovereigns. Try to empty your "my documents\My games\elemental\" directory.
Do you want to continue the series? :P Ok go ! 0 1 2 6 24 120 720 5 040 40 320 362 880 3 628 800 (for 10 cities O_O)
Done :)
There's a bug in the upkeep calculation : instead of 0 1 3 6 10 15 21 28 etc... we get 0 1 2 6 24 120 720 etc.. (the upkeeps are multiplied instead of being added)
You can scroll if the mouse is between the spell points bar and the tech bar. If your mouse is on one of those two bars then the screen won't scroll.
At the moment devs can change rules in a day. So, any documentation at this point is ... pointless.
If you say that, I assume you didn't play the older version of the game [e digicons][/e] Because the first first first beta had an opening movie really... interesting.
No one else got that problem ?
Yep. But they fear it. What I would is the ability to grow beyond the 5th level of city, and be able to get more and more tiles.
To take a screenshot you don't have to alt-tab. Just press print screen, and you'll have the screenshot in you "my documents\elemental\ etc..."
And why not letting the cities decide where they want their house placed ? We could just build improvements and important buildings.
At the moment the upkeep isn't calculated like it should be. SO the 7th city cost is prohibitive. Just wait to get a real upkeep and you'll be able to build large empires (but prepare yourself to create a constant cash flow)
Are you kidding ? did you do the maths ? 7th city = 720 ! you go from 120 to 720 ? How in the game could you get that much money ? Even with your proposals. And 8th city ? 8*720 = 5760 That can't be intentional.
Quests are in beta 1G. Damsel in distress for instance along with a few others that pop up if you research adventure techs.
At the moment, they don't. Even if you research what you need, and I tried to build every building I could (pub, inns, etc.)
There is a bug in the way upkeep is calculated. Instead of adding the different upkeeps, it multiply. instead of getting 0 1 3 6 10 15 21 etc.. you get 0 1 2 6 24 120 720 etc...
That's weird that equipment doesn't cost anything, and that we can't see the bonuses.
There's a bug in the upkeep. Instead of adding upkeep, the game multiply it ! it should be 1st city = upkeep 0 2nd city = 1 upkeep 3rd city = 2 upkeep So for 5 cities you shoudl have an upkeep of : 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10. But with 5 cities you get : 1 * 2 * 3 * 4 = 24 And the 6th city will cripple you : upkeep 120 O_O And if you get a 7th city ... 720. Very crippling bug.
Yes, a coop option would be a blast. My best memory of a multiplayer game is Rise of Nations and the coop play. It was so good.
+1 Env. color = 80 for me. I really like to clearly see the revived land.
