Keep trying what though? See, that's my problem. I don't know what it is I'm supposed to be doing each turn. Is there in fact something I'm supposed to do each turn? Am I supposed to build troops? (I assume so, but...) Do I sit idle and just hit end turn until a building is completed before I do something else? I know it sounds whiny, and it's certainly not my intent. But telling me to keep trying isn't much help if I don't know what it is I should be trying to

I admit, quite openly, I'm not used to these types of games at all. Most TBS games I play are on the DS, and they're RPGs, or some derivative of an RPG. I tried starting out in the campaign, since it's allegedly a tutorial. No, it didn;t tutor me about anything, I had no clue as to what I should've been doing, nor why. SO I thought I'd try a sandbox game... Still not completely sure what I'm supposed to do. I traveled my "soverign" around, picking up stuff, but

I have never played a game for achievments... In fact, I never even look them or or know ahead of time what they are... If I get one, fine... big deal... If I dont get one, that's fine too because since I didn;t even know about it to begin with, I'm not missing anything. Achievements have never ever ever prompted me to play a game a second time, or play it a different way... To me, achievements are a waste.

I haven't read through this entire thread, but I'm curious if Impulse will be required for Elemental In North America (Arizona), even if I purchase a retail boxed copy? I had Impulse once upon a time when I played Sins of a Solar Empire, but since then I've gotten a new machine, and I don't play Sins anymore, and dont really care to re-install it, nor do I really want to re-install Impulse... Not a big fan of DD, and would much rather do without it if it doesn't hamper my ability to pla

Q: I want to know more about tactical battles A: Without putting too fine a point on it, Elemental’s tactical battles are designed to be fairly similar to Master of Magic’s tactical battles. If you liked those, you’ll probably like these. It’ll be an area getting the most refinement over the next 30 days and beyond since we hope to release mini-game modes that let players just play tactical battles.

I have seen and been watching both shows you mention here. FRINGE I find enjoyable, not so much for the story, but Walter. He just really cracks me up sometimes. Overall the main storyline is interesting, and it keeps my curiosity piqued. FlashForward is also enjoyable, although it does seem to be rather slow moving sometimes. There were a couple of "WHa...?" moments where I was completely surprised and shocked.

I've read alot of Fantasy books, almost every one listed here. Although there are a few listed here I'll now have to check out. One of my favorite set of books is The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, follwed up with The LiveShip Traders trilogy, and the Tawny Man trilogy. I also enjoyed the DeathGate Cycle by Margaret Weiss & Tacy Hickman. And the Dragon Prince series by Melanie Rawn, although it tends to drag on abit towards the 6th book.

I will most likely be in the minority, but I have zero desire for multiplayer. This goes for ARPGs, RTS, TBS, FPS, etc... If I want a multiplayer experience, I'll bring out a board game and my friends and I will all gather around the kitchen table with our beers, chips, and cigars or play an MMORPG. But when I'm at home, and looking to play a satisfying stable and fun game (either console or PC), I want only single player games. I deal with way too many people throug
