Got it, except there is plenty to spend guildar on - wages, rushing production, trades, unit upgrades, champion gear.

Use the support forum, see if they can help. Without doing that, or getting into specifics I don't know how you expect a [rant] to help any - including yourself. Feeding a troll. I've played 220+ hrs. I have the occasional crash - usually after its been on for 4 or 5 hours. I have it autosave every turn, so the most I lose is a turn. My current game is 20+ hours, heavily modded, huge map with 17 factions (now 12).
I like the mercenary idea - could also go the route of a 'league of nations' or something similar to get you access to other units. It does seem simpler to go with mercenary though, and I don't actually mind tying into increased gold production. I could also go the other way with the merchant lords - high gold, ability to hire mercenaries. Something to consider - mercenaries could be experienced units you can buy from the get-go. High quality ge
If you can, make a mod out of him ;) How about a sovereign option?
Agree with most of your points. Unfortunately most are game mechanics rather than modding, so will have to see if dev does anything.
Sounds good.
Agreed. Not game-breaking, but REALLY annoying. Moves are a very precious resource and losing a turn of moves is annoying.
Quick update: Still loving the mod. IMO - Banshee armies are OP unfortunately. I manually updated to 4 moves and 9 ice attack after the initial discussion and have a game going. Anyway - elemental resistance + physical resistance makes for an immortal unit. Almost. Vast majority of combats can just be auto-resolved, assuming you don't have a squishy in the last slot that'll soak up the damage. 4 mov
Sandbox as well - played ewom, fe, LH, haven't played any scenario.
For a long time i was going experience boost > sweep > lethal tree with a warrior. Walk up to a group, sweep, cleave the next biggest chunk, clean up. Now I'm trying out the mage/summon/horde. Its great, but a lot slower. A good warrior was a 3-4 round combat. Mage takes longer. I don't like having my sov be defender/assassin/commander - seems too weak. Although I like supporting heroes of those types.
I had a couple hundred on E:WOM, then a few more hundred on FE - quite a bit of betas, now 170 on LH including betas. So, probably 600-800 hrs so far on this franchise - for a pre-release purchase of ~$60 of E:WOM. Holy crap. For me I really think its the moddability. I can use someone elses mod, tweak the game files myself, cheat, anti-cheat, do stormworld/affliction type changes. Crazy. Plus while my wife isn't
Limited playing, but a bit further into the game. I have a 3 banshee + sov party limping its way across the map at 3 moves (tireless march). Its slow, but powerful. Banshees seem tough to level, just takes awhile. I've got them all up to level 6 - so 12 damage every other turn with wail x 3. Physical fights are trivial - even on insane/insane. As long as I'm willing to slog through the first b
What do you think you're ETA is for next release? Regarding banshee stats - is it a matter of adding level 1 values? such as: [code="xml"] Resource Mana 60<
So, I've got 170 hours played via steam and the game menu. I'm not sure if that counts Beta time or not - but I have to assume so, since didn't it get released 5/22? I'm still married, so I assume I haven't been playing 10 or so hrs per day. I've only finished one game - via master quest to check it out. I never play with spell/towers.
Still really liking this mod. Once saw a 5/7/5 starting spot - 'drool' - next to a toxic river. Unfortunately I had a bad custom faction in there and couldn't load saves...lost. Did pick up a 4/7/9 (yup, NINE essence) after killing the fissures wildlands boss. 9 doesn't even show up in the city menu :) It was awesome. Unfortunately by that point I was already mopping up. <
Tried this in conjunction with trying out the revamped necromancy. Its OP. I actually think consume is less OP than horde + cull. If you don't have roads, you actually don't find THAT many shards that you can easily settle. Using Arcane Monolith I found myself getting as many clay as I did shards - then when I consume the shards it was kind of sad. I eventually found myself putting another hero i
Good points. Hmm. Death Knight :) Undead specific blood type assumed in the stats? Played another hour this morning, made myself late for work :) 2 movement is brutal. At least on the skeletons I can get them mounted combat. I think Banshees should have 3 movement due to 'flying'. FYI banshee vs banshee - NPC banshee wins :) At least against lower level. Also made
I got it free. Once I figure out how to do so I'm going to be buying 2 gift licenses now that its on Steam.
Its def fun. I was going to attempt just to use the undead units exclusively when my initial 2 units died - but we'll see. IMO that could be handled by one more mid tier unit, probably around sorcery, for a heavier unit. Maybe just a larger skeleton with larger 'bones' - i.e more stats (hp, passive defense, etc) and maybe +1 move. I didn't notice, what blood type do the units use - any? Is it possible to have them assume the blood type of
Trying the mod out, wraith, summoner. So far so good. Random thoughts: Not sure what good the skeletons are except for flavor - most base units you can customize will at least have their racial. Banshees are interesting. 0 attack (thought they were 9 attack like the NPC ones). Means the only damage is death wail - 2 damage/level. I'm still early, but I can churn out a banshee every 5 turns and I've got 3 working.&nbs
That's a feature, not a bug. You've unlocked an easter egg! "Pandora's boring shipping crate" has vast and mysterious powers.
As a side tangent (still haven't finished my game) - someone had an angel race at one point - stormwind? And someone else had a big buff for life magic which had some anti-necro spells. Both for FE I think, not sure if heavenfall's CoS covers angels. Just something to consider. I am looking forward to checking it out, and I do think 100% physical resistance would be an iWin. Curious to check it. Lightbringer has 50% resistance I think with 1
This sounds interesting, but in midst of another game. May pull it in when I do 1.1 update. If I can train banshees - isn't that essentially an i win ability at that point? 1 banshee, over time, will be able to handle 75% of the battles solo. Are there any other considerations? I don't think the AI will be able to handle a physically immune unit. How's it play out in your test games?
Pretty sure road building is a mancer trait - so serrane is unneeded. Could be wrong though but my latest game I took mancers and my pioneers can build roads and road building is an addable skill. Beastmaster is OP compared to the rest of the starting professions, but so what. SP game, and its fun. IMO opinion, don't select it if you don't like it. Decalon + fleshbound tome could be broken. Do you need to actually build the shard bef
Nice, will install for my next game. Can the AI get them as well?
