I don't know about anyone else but I check this regularly. Should a link be in a sticky? Thanks to all who add to it. http://elementalgames.org/w/index.php?title=Main_Page
quoting post So aside from Mage, I have also read that Defender is very good. I just cant seem to find any thing about this class that is fun. What classes (BESIDES Mage) do you find fun to play with? Assassin is also fun but you do not get the fun of donning Champion armor later in game. Thoughts? Heh, there's only the five of them... Defender was

I haven't noticed many bugs, at least any that cause the game to crash. The few I have seen were very minor. This game is very good as it is. Sure it could be made even better, what can't, but I definitely have gotten my money's worth with it.

Not entirely sure what you're asking. When you click the "upgrade" button for a unit, you get access to a dialog with three options Upgrade weapon - will change weapon type for the unit to the best (max damage from all damage types) for that weapon

I think that could be a cool idea. For example you might give a General or Warrior class an additional unit to command. Maybe limit an Assassin class to one less unit than normal but give the army an extra move. A Mage (which seems to be the class that most say is the most powerful) could be limited to few units. A Defender might get an additional in a city. Anything that gives more variety is generally a good thing in my book.
Yes - the game is much too black & white in siege combat as is where you have to be able to guarantee a victory before you attack. The system I'm outlining where it isn't so all-or-nothing would make the game much more interesting in this regard. It should indeed precisely be possible to take "risks" or, if you will, make partial attacks on cities. The very fact that the city militia instantly respawn at f

I think it woud be cool if you got 1 or 2 of the best available troops when a fortress or conclave was attacked. Surely there would be some real troops or capable mages there!

I looked at the stats for this village and they are not extrodinary. It made me think of an idea. What if the number of places a human player could make into a Fortress, Conclave and Town were limited? All the rest remained a village that wasn't special but didn't just stink. Right now evey place has to get some sort of bonus, there doesn't seem to be any way to decline the choice. If you could only make 5 fortresses on a large map then placement would

I think I am using the latest version. I only bought the game a few weeks ago on Steam.

If it is just the name what would happen if I named all my cities Deorcnysse? Would they all get screwed up?

30 Replies 31,442 Views

What is the purpose of it being a village the whole game? Does it give something special that I haven't noticed?
Quoting Marty Ward, reply 7Is Fear considered a spell? Yes. It's even a resistible spell, though I don't know that I'd go out of my way to design custom units with high spell resistance just for a dragon fight.
I have not found enemy mages to be very strong in this game so I tend to ignore items and spells that give you bonuses for resisting spells but if Fear is considered a spell

I conquered a town about 100 turn ago. It just keeps growing and is now a Level 9 village. Any idea why it has stayed a village? I don't know how to post the image so if someone can help I have a screenshot.

Thanks. What about city upgrades, are they cumulative? For example does it help to choose the same benefits more than once like increase HP 5%?

Does building a building that increases the value of something only pertain to the city it was built in or does it effect all cities? For example if you build a Grocer does it improve the food per grain in every city? Thanks.

I have just found this game. To me it is very enjoyable and I have no complaints about it. It looks great, has a lot of variety and overall I think I received a great value for my money. Perhaps after 1500 hous of play I will think different but that will be unrealistic of me also. I am not looking for a game to last my entire life and always be 'fresh, new and challanging' every time I play it. That game will never exist. This game however is a blast
