I have nearly no icons on my desktop. I am from the IT Tech era where memory was so precious that every icon on the desktop took away from the productivity of the machine. We taught the users to get their programs by clicking the start menu, and we helped them to customize that so it would have their most needed icons in the same place. (you should see my Start menu - organized to a "T") I'm not sure anyone here would remember the days when someone had 30 icons on the desktop it reduced t

I haven't installed codecs for about 6 months and nothing was installing at the time I was using it. Like I say, I was trying to load a photo wallpaper from a folder that has both JPG and PNG - Deskscapes 3 apparently doesn't even see PNG (I wish I could load things via file search) When I applied the new wallpaper then I got a message and the Dream disappeared. It took me a moment to figure out it was NOT the JPG that was causing the error. The Dream that went boo-boo is called "Divi

I just when through all my Dreams and the one that is "broken" is the one I was using at the time, and another takes several minutes to start up. What happened? I told it to use a folder that had pngs as well as jpgs, would that have broken it?

I been using Dreamscapes a while and all of a sudden it's MPEG is in violation of something and DeskScapes 3 shuts down. The Dream may contain an invalid video type or a compatible MPEG-2 video decoder may not be present. Please visit here for more information: https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/nocodec.asp

This is probably another one of those "wrong forum" posts, I can move it if needed. Everyone goes on and on about Fences, most of it good. I happily putter along with my docks and wonder if I am missing things. Why would I want to use Fences (which was included in something I own)? What is the benefit and if I got Fences all set up would I still want my docks? I've tried Fences once or twice and it is no small miracle that I still have my hair. I never did figure out how to "beaut

I don't do full screen, but max window for my games (primarily LOTRO and DDO at this time) It took forever to find the right setting for my zoomer bar so that it didn't pop up in the middle of me reaching to click the tool bar on the bottom of the game window and get me killed. For a while I simply closed OD when I played, and after that I hid the bottom zoomer. Currently I have somehow found a setting that keeps the stupid thing out of the way unless I really want it - then I have to

@ Onklifiziert How do you get the task bar across both screens and the wallpaper to do the same? I'm not sure that doing that with the wallpaper would work with my displacement, but it would be nice to try. If that is not what I am seeing then never mind...

I'm happily fixing up some Fourth of July icons using IconPackager and a little window pops up and says something about needing to open a window and do something. There has been some updates lately so I say "ok" so that I can get back to playing with icons. A few minutes later it asks the same thing, so I tell it "no". I close the program and the window it has open is the browser window that says there is a free version and a pay version and so much to renew or you can buy the whole lot.

Wow, the background story on that flash mob is something else. Anywhere from a wedding surprise to pro/anti Puttin protest (notice the name of the contributor and that it was a few days before their election) It sure took a lot of work, at least 8 cameras, two booms, and a helicopter. It's cool, nevertheless, and at over 3mil viewers it got their message across - whatever it was.

I have Win 7 64 and two monitors, absolutely no problems. The only thing I have problems with are two DesktopX Widgets (this is a problem with their creation) that hide when I shut down my main monitor for a while. Object dock is not a problem. I took off Fusion and Ultramon as they were not worth the hassle. Everything works as advertised, why mess with it?

I have the cutest little laptop size enclosure drive that I got on NewEgg. It's not much, only 500gb, but the Toshiba drive inside just purrs. No power, standard USB connection, runs around 40c, quiet. It's got my important stuff and if I ever had a fire I know I would have it all if I grabbed it on the way out. I tend to use it directly instead of as a backup. I have another 500gb also in a clunker case. But it works as well - just not as nifty.

Nice looking mare. That jock will never live it down though. BLACK Caviar has kept her unbeaten record winning the Diamond Jubilee stakes at Royal Ascot. But for a few strides near the line, the whole nation held its breath for a moment when jockey Luke Nolen eased up 75m out and was nearly caught by French mare
