Have you gone into Settings and then Size? There are two sliders, one for icon size and the other for the amount of "Zoom" when you mouse over them. That combined with the Zoom choices should help. As small as it goes - 16px About 1/2 of the biggest it will go. These pictures are nearly to scale. Dumb for

Hubby and I did it again. 31 years. (September 20, 1981) After this long it's like favorite jeans and comfortable shoes. Seems like we've always been there for each other. And it's nice to have him home from the middle east, especially with all the crap that is going on. (no, he was support not military but even today would gladly have his stripes and gun back - me too)

So. I see that there is a download in my list for Start8 and since I've been using Windows 8 more with the beta testing for the game I am participating I download it. Go to install and run it and get this message: " This version of Start 8 for Windows 8 has expired " [e digicons]X([/e] Now what? And if it is expired, why is it in my list?
Check. First thing I looked at was maybe that check mark was gone. I'm not a Windowblinds novice (I've had it since 2007-ish, it was the second Stardock product I bought) Therein lies the problem. I made sure that the magic check box was checked, I made sure that the service was active. I must have given it half a dozen different themes to digest to see if it might like one better. Nothing. As for Google, this site search is Google based.
Seems to be working now, although when I press "all" there is a cute fly-down effect to set up the normal list of programs. Searching takes a little time (I think that is normal any more) and I get proper results. Dunno, probably had something to do with being in the middle of setting up a new look and wanted something that I just didn't have in my library to finish it.
First, I'd like to complain about the forum search. It appears to be Google based (not really a complaint) but I for the life of me can't find the sort feature and I can't remember the Google shortcut to limit search boundaries. I do a search for the above and I get a good deal of what looks like proper results (yay me) The article dates go 2004, 2009, 2006, 2011, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2010.... Can you see my problem? In order to get the most recent version of Windowblinds
OK, it's either my computer or yours. In the search box, upper right corner, that I normally use for finding particular icons, docks, etc, etc. I am having the following problems. First, the little drop down on the left that says, "All" and I am supposed to select the desired flavor of program with doesn't. Not at all. It is like it has never done it. Second, when I give up and type what I want in the box and leave the default as "All" and press the hourglass I get a blank page
Dunno if you still have those bees. I been closed beta testing a computer game expansion and running my pretend legs off (we are on B4 with more to come but looking better - product release has been moved back a month) Anyway to bees. Three reasons bees get that active. Reason one is they were just stopping by and now they are leaving for another place (yours probably didn't meet their standards. Sorry) Another could be is they are getting ready to split the swarm and half will st
What's with the leg splints?
Sounds a bit like what might need to happen. Such a bother. Maybe I can make so it isn't the program to open URL and see if that works. I think that I can use a different icon for HTML. Now I need to look at that. I noticed URL because I had a couple of web site shortcuts on my desk during the Olympics (gone now)
Silly icon is one of the ones in the exe file. But it sure is ugly. I thought about dis-associating the beastie, let it see how that feels. I supposed it wasn't clear that I am using IconPackager to make assignments to the different file types.
It was a matter of time. You think they would have it all covered after Sony. My game accounts have their own addresses (on one of my domains) so I hope this will help.
This will probably be one of those topics discussed yesterday but I missed it. I have files with extension URL that have a Firefox/paper icon. I have told Icon Packager what icon I want it to be. No changes. So I manually changed it on each link. How/where do I find the place to tell Firefox that I want to use my own icons? I hate it when a program hijacks something.
I'm in the beta test for a expansion of a MMO game. I told them that I'd toss a copy on Win 8 to see how it works. Since my other copy was sometime last year I downloaded a new one. I was happy to find out it had changed a bunch. No, darn welcome page is still there, and they have something related to Mickey to replace the Start Menu BUT I could at least go more than five minutes without swearing. To the game. No, darn thing hangs during install so I cheat and copy it from my
I'll get one! A couple of years ago I couldn't afford my meds (couldn't afford anything and lived on handouts for that matter) and in a manic stage wrote 170,000 words over about four days that became my fiction book series "Ethaia". It is published online using a system of self publishing called "print on demand". There are several services to look into if you are interested. The one I use is owned by Amazon. I think I use my quiet little pretend world as a place to hide
