There are a few things i would really like to see in TA. For starters, when i get attacked i dont want my allies to jump in already, if its a small enemy i want those planets for myself. However i would like an option in the diplomatic screen to request backup while the war has already begun. At that point they have the option to either obey or break the alliance. Same goes for the IA, they wont request my help untill they feel its needed. Maybe some more options on how to

In a case like galactic civilisations 2 i think 1 or more expansion packs will do good to, since GC2 is a classic and people love to add new stuff to that game to continou playing the game (and keep it interresting). I'd love more expansion packs and will buy them. I haven't preordered TA though (yet), but thats only because the credit card we have at home expired (and i got a freaking 25% off
omg omg omg omg, i was just about to ask if stardock planned on a new update, instead we get 2 new updates and an expansion pack...you guys never stop to amaze me. Oh well count on my 25 buck for this expansion pack. Also...i saw the interview on gamespot and one of the pictures showed that in the scenario editor you can create custom teams....YEEEAAAAHAAAAAAA!
this should be implanted, there should be a custom team option so you can make those kind of teams without having to play a scenario. that would be great. if you ally now with 4 IA its 5 vs 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 wich is no fun, you win no matter what.
mmm, cant really do anything with that
nobody?
you can get a production bonus from anomelies, or even one of your racial abilities (up to 50% more militairy or social production). that is the extra cost.
Ok people, i need some help. I am having serious trouble with my early economy. I'm talking about the latest DA version. I can get an economy started no problem, but even on touch or crippling i cant come even close to most AI's. in DL i used to be able to always be around the top to, but now i am always at the bottom, now i know on crippling the AI gets a bonus but even without the bonus they would be ahead of me. My question is how do you guys handle this, specially the once who play o
can i plz get a stardock confirmation that if i preorder now or in like 1 month when beta 2 starts that i can get into the beta? tnx, and tnx to all the people who replied so far.
so when can we expect beta 2 and when can i start playing the beta?
mmm, currently i'm busy with a meta game, playing the krynn, played for 3 years now on crippling level with 7 AI's on gigantic map. I have tech trading on, i have like 3 economic treaties and 4 research treaties. i was able to stay out of wars and so far the trading goes pretty well. Ofcourse i have ot research the weapons and colonizing tech myself but imo thats only fair, else this game would be to easy.
What i've red so far about this game was really nice, i wanna know more about the game. I'm a galciv player and imaging myself that this game can be compared with gc2, true or not? do you have multible planets to build up, and than make a fleet and attack (so you get a gc2 meets homeworld?) also how is the diplomacy in this game, how deep does it go and how many options do you have. last, when will the next beta be, so i might be able to join in. mystic
memory bug? i've checked with my last game and it still used up 1.45G of memory, i have 1.5G i'm using beta 4 1.6. is 1.45G of memory using normal?
Nice. Btw can i ask, when will the new stuff come into the beta's?
anybody has an idea how the AI did this?
Anyone? i've played 4 games now and all those 4 games they were ruling the universe. they were the first to build an army and are always like 3-4 times as strong as anybody else early in the game and they get some good planets when they go to war with there first victim. They rule in my games.
all set to painfull, so the matching difficult, i dont have the random intelligents option on. but it feels like i'm playing with godlike or 200% cash bonuses here.
thanks for the reply man. i think i have to disagree with one thing, about the AI people allot slower. i have another thread on this forum, i checked out some of the AI movements and they had 12 coloships after like 10 turns. read the other thread for more details. its insane how fast that ai was going and i'm only at painfull, i should be able to keep up with the AI. also, some of your tips are really usefull, i am going to try them out. here is my other post:
ok i'm puzzled, i just wrote my previous post about what i was doing wrong and decided to take a look at the AI myself. I flew directly towards him watching his behaviour. Its not march 15, so i played 10 or 11 turns. the AI has 12 colony ships (??????????), 11 of them are docked in there planets. the AI (drath) has used his start kolony ship to grab the nearest planet simular to mars with the terrans, a PQ 4. he has 7 kolony ships in that PQ 4 planet and 5 in its home planet.
I used to play DL allot, but after playing it for 200 hours i got a bit tired of it and moved on to another game just to return later on. Well now is the time and i can say i totally s*ck at this game now. I'm used to play at crippling level, even in the early DA game. Now i am playing painfull, 7 AI's, huge galaxy, latest DA (beta 1), i believe i have extra CPU for IA option on and i'm yor with most of my points going into economics and moral. Well they grab planets wa
Ok, Beta 1 is out and is bugfixes only. Beta 2, wich would contain new stuff and that players suggested, should be out last week. I do see a download on the forum that was uploaded by stardock, but no changelog came with it and i dont see anybody talking about the new stuff, so what kind of update is that? And beta 2 aint out yet? i am so confused
well if they would start doing it now there options would increase, they can implant more cause they have to worry less about the balance or if the majority of the players wants it.
Not sure any of you know the game Heroes of Might and Magic III? Anyway one of the expansions implanted allot of options to the game, but those could be turned on and of (talking about the Wake of God expansion). Over the updates on that expansion about 100 options were added and each of those could be turned on and off, if you turned them all on you had a really unbalanced game that was creepy to play, but you could really change the game to whatever you liked at that moment.
* somehow reduce micromanagment with constructors, i've seen the suggestion of making constructors like miners, well you could let a constructor upgrade a starbase, just put a certain price on it. have than have the ability to say how much you want it to upgrade + price that you need to pay for it and how long it would take. so i can send a constructor to make 1 fully build starbase with just a few clicks, instead of having to make 20 seperate constructors and get them all to 1 place.<br/
Great thread: * Be able to put the AI and myself into teams so that i can have "coalition wars" * Be able to queue research so that it will continou without me having to click allot * Be able to put more constructor modules on 1 ship, it will reduce micromanagment * more diplomatic options (teams, stay out of my influence area, calling for help. * AI ally shouldn't declare war on my opponont when war starts, i have to ask first.(and when they deny, alliance is broken, a
