I would like to see some more stability here. Every time I load a new game, I get a new set of goodie huts and sometimes if there are resources in my territory that I have not built on, they will change their resource type when loading a saved game. For example, I had a gold mine that I hadn't built on yet and after loading a saved game, it turned into an Air Shard.

Why is that? Didn't these cities takes years to build and poof they're gone in an instant? Wouldn't a better option be to have those cities turn into neutral cities or minor faction owned cities?
Hi Brad, Here's a couple of dumb AI moves I noticed playing on Ridiculous level. Unfortunately, the only thing ridiculous is the ridiculous number of hit points the enemy units have. 1. I'm at war with Magnar, yet he is sending wave after wave of unprotected pioneers right through my territory...easy pickins. 2. Magnar has a nice stack of doom and came after one of my cities. I simply moved all my units out of the city and he chose not to attack
Thanks everybody...I basically tried all your suggestions at once (stopped firewall, ran the ellaunch.exe file directly) and something worked. Thanks for the tips!
My game is stuck on the taskbar. It won't launch past the taskbar. I've tried left-clicking, right-clicking, double-clicking, uninstalling, and reinstalling numerous times. Any ideas? <img class="embeddedObject" src="http://content.screencast.com/users/trojasmic/folders/Default/
They were glowing in 1.0.0 and 1.0.1, but they're not glowing now. What happened?
I agree with everything in the article. This game is way too buggy for release. I bet PCGamer won't be the only game website to say so.
Are we able to pillage an opponent's lost libraries, gold mines, farms, etc. (special buildings built on resource tiles)?
I made this same suggestion. I hope it gets in.
After several weeks of working fine, this problem just started for me. The game won't launch passed the task bar. I see it on the task bar, but I can't get it to expand when I click on it. I think it might have something to do with running in Windowed-mode. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it's still happening. Is there a way to put it back in full-screen mode without having to use the in game GUI to make the change?
One final plea for performance improvements across the board before release... I really don't want to have to buy a new computer just to play this game. - Tactical battles are chunky - Moving the screen around is painful - Zooming between cloth and close-up drives me crazy - Saving every couple of turns, exiting game, restarting game because of skyrocketing memory usage makes me cry. and after those issues are fixed, make i
Does that mean we still get to play Beta 5 and you're just not accepting any new beta participants or does that mean even those of us that have played through the earlier betas are out of luck too?
The voyeur in me wants to watch the tactical battle play out so can we have an auto-play option in addition to the auto-resolve option? Preferably one we can stop if we decide we want to participate in the battle all of the sudden.
great idea!
agree...would be nice if there was some "hover" text that explained what "difficulty" means on these two setup screens.
great idea!
As the game is creating unit types for me to choose from, it has created the same 6 ATK 0 DEF Archer template three times now. At least it came up with a different card/pic for one of the templates, but would like to have brand new and unique templates created in the future.
It seems like we have a lot of techs in Civilization and Warfare but not very many in Magic, Adventure, and Diplomacy. I seem to have 5-6 choices every time I research Civ or War, but only 1-2 choices in the other tech trees. Can't we balance this out a bit by putting some of the techs in Civ and Warfare in the other tech trees. For example, the tech that unlocks the building of inns or harbors could be put in Adventure. The tech that unlocks a palace or city walls
It seems that "organized", "hardy", "ugly", etc. are a little overused in the pre-defined sovereign choices. It would be nice if all those characteristics get used to make each pre-defined sovereign totally unique. So have someone be an insane tracker assassin and one be a cowardly diplomatic bard, etc.

I have a big screen too 1440x900, but I shouldn't have to center my screen on a town every time I want to click on it. If I'm looking at something else in the middle of my screen and then decide to click on the town in the bottom right corner, I don't want a town card popping up and covering what I'm trying to click on.
