As pigeonpigeon said, the entire world was scorched and had it's lifeforce drained from it. Huge forests everywhere wouldn't make any sense at all. I'd be hesitant to have them spread "here and there", too - but that's just the apocalypse in me talking.
It's already been said a couple of times that cities will require essence to be founded, unless I'm mistaken, no? Wheter this is because the Channeler raises some buildings on the spot or just rejuvenates the land is for all purposes in context moot.
I was going to do that some time back, but I couldn't find a good collection of the MoM portraits. Anyway, great work. [e digicons]>_>[/e] [e digicons]k1[/e]
Edit: Double-post. Sorry.

I'd go with Water and Earth. They are, after all, the two elements that create cold (someone correct me if I'm wrong). ;)

I haven't really tried any of the others, but yes, Impulse (when I use it) tends to completely max out my download. That's all I can say on the subject. And it's very rare that I get full download speed from any one source, anywhere else.
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="14" id="2263357"]That is indeed on of the requirements we have. You will be able to run Elemental /basic (i.e. /basic is a parameter) and play the entire game symbolically on the cloth map. Sounds like the "Ideas for global mayhem magic" thread. But I'm with Scoutdog, although in relation to the OP, I don't think I'd want a in-game 'map editor' that spends essence. But yeah, general Poulous-level magic. Raising and sinking of land. Earthquakes. Tsunamis. Raising Volcanos underneath the feet of my enemy's city.

Think of it like this. The culture and people you choose at the start of the game is your vision for how you want your society to look. As the game progresses, you (the channeler, king, emperor, whatever) automaticly works to realize that vision.

I can't give you a source, but it's been said a few times in the past. It was even discussed in the IRC with the Frog, way, way back.
