Die of dehydration in 3 days? The time it takes to die from water deprivation differs greatly depending on a wide range of circumstances, but 3 days sounds extreme. Do you live in a desert or something? But yes, I do agree with you. Depending on where you live and what kind of relief you can expect (which no doubt would take several days just to organize, let alone get going in any way or fashion that could be considered structured) water would be a top priority.
