There's no rush.......except for the fact that now its updating the same day Torchlight 2 comes out.................... Dammit
BarxBaron
Starbases… I mean Outposts can be upgraded Added the Abbey Outpost upgrade- Reduces tactical spell cost in the ZoC Added the Armory Outpost upgrade- Increases the attack of allied units in the ZoC Added the Caltrops Outpost upgrade- Halves the movement of enemy units in the ZoC Added the Consulate Outpost upgrade- Increases the Growth of the attached city Added the Fortify Outpost upgrade- Increases the defense of allied units in
Step 1: Starbases? Step 4: City Specialization I pretty much love everything but the two above parts made manly tears of joy wet my cheeks.
Challenging and hard I don't like when AI has to cheat...............
I love meh xp! With that said I have a couple different boxes and each has a different OS ( I have 32 and 64 win7). I'm about to get a i7 win7 machine and plan on tons of RAM........................ This is all for planetside 2 which I've waited literal years for :)
I buy from steam, stardock, and Gamersgate. So yeah...I'm into digital purchasing quite a bit and like them all.
The only problem with Tarth's ability is that nothin comes even close in terms of power. Either we need some buffage in many places or Tarth needs a nerf. Attackable cities/outposts (even with a unit stationed on it) is a good place to start.
These are meant to be champion classes, not civil servants.. I see the governor champion as a retired former general, whose leadership skills, strategic thinking and reputation make him an effective politician. Just as is still common in countries where military life is prevalent, just as in most fantasy literature. The choice to use him in battle to become a better leader, or get out of him in a city what you can
Let's hope its tomorrow. Still has to pass the QA. *pleads to QA guys* Let it through :(
How about just concentrating on making the game the best it can possibly be......and leave the user exclusions for the sequel(s). I own both 32bit, 64bit, and xp machines. And still don't like the exclusion. Sure....design it from the ground up for 64bit and I'd be ok with it. But other then not..no thanks.
wtf Too much...can't process...... You have single updatedly brought not only further faction differientiation to Altar but made their advantages fit their faction backstory and beliefs to a 'T'. Bravo. Splash dmg? REFLECT DMG SPELLS? I am VERY EXCITED. ------- One concern, however, is the taking out of squad tech. How will this effect our armies? Will we be stuck with 3 per slot for
1 dollar to prolong the interest in a product = no brainer. I mean. Its a god damn dollar.
# Have Civ techs that cause Outposts to get guards and expand influence so that you don’t need as many late game. # Have quests tend to give players access to more spells so that they’re more compelling. Getting a magic axe is less interesting and gets repetitive. Getting a random magic spell, by contrast, would make the finite # of quests have far greater replay ability. # More terrain types (especially snow at the poles). # Outpost specialization (late game

-_- Too much to take in
That list is nowhere near inclusive. Even as I play Im seeing things I forgot in the changelog or I trimmed to quickly. The internal changelog was 270 pages with the technical details, I cut it down to the above 20 pages (without pictures).
STUPID INTERNET, DOWNLOAD UPDATE FASTER
YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY SO MUCH AWESOME IS IN STORE FOR ME THIS WEEKEND.
You SD guys must be doing something right... I have never seen so much anticipation for a BETA...
I'm assuming by the above quote that you haven't participated in many betas...... This update anticipation is relatively mild compared to some of the foaming-at-the-mouth fests I've seen before lol
It's going to be tight.
GOD NO FROGGIE PLZ PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ I've been waiting too long. ;p
Not gonna lie...I'm loathing this idea. I love how the cities currently are...snaking and all. (I don't even abuse it) I'd hate to see all that beauty go to waste. If I wanted to play Civilizations (aka 1 tile city land)...I'd play Civilizations. Anywho...if done right it might be bearable...but only just ;p If this becomes reality I DEMAND outposts become more strategically useful rath
Yeah,....not gonna upgrade till next PC. I built this machine several summers ago and it still is running XP. (In all honesty I prefer XP, period. I am IT and have been running windows 7 on the machines at current job......lets just say there's a few reasons I still hold XP in higher regards then win 7 :P )
I hope the new special abilities for weapons includes a "bleed" DOT effect. There's poison for some daggers already as a DOT in 0.86 but it would be nice to have more than 1 DOT in game and bleed would work very nicely. You could make it sword or axe specific since poison already seems to be dagger specific and maul is specific for maces. I'll probably try adding it in a mod if it doesn't
Abrupt ending is abrupt. Y U TEASE?
Nice.....can't wait. You guys are such teases ;p
I still do not think that this differentiate units enough. Play HOMM, or Armored princes. Units have TONS of interesting abilities. The added "chance to make second attack on miss" is really, really weak improvement, it is just slight buff of the weapon, no much game mechanics has changed. Good direction, but just a baby step.
Oh.....you silly internet, you. Where would we be without ye?
Where do Capitar fit into this? I'm assuming Neutral Evil or Lawful evil. They were the original enslavers of one of the factions afterall, and seem to love money and "structure".....seems like they embody all the evils of capitalism. Pain profiteering anyone? I think lawful evil would fit.
